I have been looking for a light bar for my awd and XK looks like the best option for me. Bolts on, looks good and formed to the shape of the roof and glass looks really clean. I saw on the website that it says we may need this https://shop.tesla.com/product/cybertruck-roof-applique-for-crossbars. Im confused on with this accessory is?

So, just wonder if anyone has installed a XK glow light bar on a 2025 and what they had to do.

The real question should be, why wasn't the integrated frunk light bar able to do these functions without bolting/gluing on another device?

Because Tesla needs to meet federal regulations as shown by the recent reductions on brightness during Parking light modes.

Love mine, looks way better than any of the rest IMO and has way more function/customization.

Mine is amazing. Love being able to change the RGB strip colors on the bar with the app. Gets compliments all the time.

Gotta admit, I am a bit jealous :) I went with the UP Invincible light bar with roof rail, as I wanted the roof rail .. and I was worried that I shouldn't be using the colored light bar above the windshield all of the time?

https://unpluggedperformance.com/pr...p-invincible-50-double-row-led-light-bar-48v/

But I also purchased the Boring Light, which is an RGB replacement light bar for the primary light bar above the headlights:

https://www.theboringlight.com/

I have really enjoyed using the various light combinations. Since my truck is purple/green/blue, I basically stick with purple and green (waves, fade in/out, etc) - but for Halloween I made it purple/orange fade, which looks great. I also just have it that if I don't set it to a specific pattern, it is always purple. Very happy with it, and essentially plug and play (15 minute swap out install). A bit $$, but super fun. (staying away from red/blue colors for sure .. not sure what to do around Christmas ;) )

Welp .. figures, I jinxed myself. I got pulled over last night in my town as I had my RGB running light going slowly between purple and orange ... cop indicated "after market lights are illegal in MA" .. so I questioned him a bit about it - and then he indicated that "flashing" lights are illegal, and the color purple is illegal, but amber is ok ... he indicated that the brightness of aftermarket lights is not regulated - so technically even if I run a white or amber light bar, I could be pulled over for it being too bright (not sure exactly how they measure it).

I do understand not wanting to distract other drivers (I always kept any motion very slow ... so I can see no motion at all being allowed) .. but I am disappointed that I can't just run a purple light. That is super annoying, and honestly a bit ridiculous .. the amount of smoked out license plates I see, or no light on the plate at all .. but for just a light color that isn't blue/red/yellow?
