Has anyone experienced this? Only on the driver side. The yellowing is occurring where this panel buts up against the dash. Doesn't seem to touch, though. Tried a few cleaners and nothing seems to touch it.

I haven't seen any other reports of that happening, but I would let Tesla look at it nonetheless.

maybe some sort of chemical made its way on the panel during assembly and it's just now appearing after UV exposure?

Is there any chance you or someone else touched that part of the panel with greasy hands?

I can't recall any "grease" or anything touching it. It really does line up with the dash panel when the door is closed so I really feel like it has something to do with that. . . Was more curious if others had heard of it.

yeah, get Tesla to look at that. maybe someone at the factory used the wrong lubricant to assist installing the door gasket.

So I have my apt on the 5th of Sept. The tesla rep in the app provided a quote and says that it looks like it was caused by an "outside influence" and would not be covered by warranty. I almost lost my $hit!! Said since I didn't bring it up in the first 100 days, it would not be considered warranty. I just turned up recently and its hidden when the door is closed.

I am going to fight it when I get there. . . this is BS.

Yea for sure fight that. Tell them if it was outside influence it wouldnt only be in the area where the door hides it. Once they replace it, get your interior ceramic coated. Ive done that on all my teslas and its worth it.
