I go through a rolling, touch car wash every week or two. Works fine, I've left my wheel covers on without issue, although one was slightly misaligned after a run through, so they obviously rub to some extent. I do favor rubbing my wheel on the inside rail when I line up. I don't want the rails to scrape my rims on my other cars (no real risk of that on the CT). Car wash mode, free roll enabled, it does everything required to safely go through the wash. Keep your seat belt buckled, leave the steering wheel and pedals alone and do not lift yourself out of your seat. At the end of the tunnel, apply the brakes briefly, swipe up into drive and exit car wash mode once you're safely clear of the tracks.

Touch car washes scratch vehicle finish, even the Cybertruck. I've noticed some incredibly fine scratches here or there, I just don't care.

Since it is also car wash related, I had the extra slats added to my tonneau since there was an obvious gap. The amount of water ingress into the bed during the wash has been dramatically reduced.

If you don't mind to stay on topic.
This is more about does it work for cybertruck aside from personal experience of scratches.

I feel majority have theirs wrapped and the small micro scratches do not affect it.
Giving folks a heads up about touch car-washes scratching their vehicles is off topic on a thread titled "Rolling Car Wash"?

I am not here asking or trying to debate how bad or good a rolling car wash is.

Regular on rollers/touch car was here. I go a couple to a few times a month (depending weekend activities....).
I'm not advertising for them but of the three local ones they get the tailgate clean the best https://hang10carwash.com

1st post, top photo shows missing slat (you can see the water management channel), 2nd photo shows correct. I think it's earlier builds, mine was 6/24 and had an obvious gap.
@Dvldogg05
This is 100% a problem on MANY early cybertrucks! 27k VIN here. I believe there were supposed to be 28 full size slats and many of us ended up with 27. Tell service if you see those holes. They recently added a slat to mine, two months ago they claimed they couldn't do that.

I have a monthly subscription at a place we will call fredsWash. One day I decided to not drive out of my way to Fred’s and instead went through a local one here attached to a gas station. Be aware of the brush rotation, if clown put the belts on backwards the brush spins backwards. Counter clockwise seems to be fine, however this quick stop wash was spinning clockwise. My charge port door didn’t survive the wash.

The slat issue is ongoing and is the reason I have to empty out my vault prior to any kind of carwash.
Did you have any trouble with your service center? I have gotten "within spec" 3x now even though the vault gets SOAKED after a car was or heavy rain. The slat gap is not huge but the foam allows light through and it is not the new rubber seals.
Really don't want to drive 4 hours to another service center but may have to if I can't get the local one to step up, add another slat if needed and definitely add the rubber weatherstripping per the new standard.

NOTE: to enable Free Roll, you must be in Drive and have your foot on the brake!
Yea, not as intuitive as pushing the clutch in and popping it in neutral, or hitting the "N" button on an automatic.
I have suggested to people that they try it in a parking lot with a SLIGHT incline first so they know the procedure before being stressed in a car wash with the 17yr old attendant waving them on and people honking behind for you to hurry up.

I got dragged halfway through the car wash the first time before I figured it out ?

I am sure that was a super relaxing and enjoyable car wash as you thought your CT was about to get pulled apart, or pull apart the car wash :)

Every single touch car wash damages or diminishes the exterior finish on a vehicle. Less noticeable on stainless steel, but it still happens. You will eventually notice it over time.

You need to remove at minimum the "track side" wheel covers and put the truck in Car Wash Mode; otherwise the track will pop off your covers and/or damage them.

Touch free is the way to go.
+1
The touch carwash rotated my rear wheel covers out of alignment and stained them with the “tire shine” treatment. Also my front license plate was almost torn off.

Now I only go to the touchless carwash. The reality is I need to go back to hand washing in my driveway. TBH I don’t mind the dirty spots left by the touchless carwash.
