Your experience: How many days from VIN to Delivery?

For those whose trucks started in Texas. How many days was it from VIN assignment to delivery? Did you get any insights into the logistics from Texas to your destination?

VIN to delivery is 3-4-5 days ... it depends how quick you arrange for the things .. insurance, payment etc

VIN is assigned when you local dealer has the Truck on their lot

See that is why I’m confused. I got a VIN and when I called SC they said it was in Texas about to board a train. Said it would be 2-4 weeks. A week later I respond to the message in my Tesla app to the Delivery Team and they say it’s going to be another 2-4 weeks after its delivered to the SC.

You know what ..... I am might be wrong for NON TEXAS DELIVERY .. my answer might be correct from Texas delivery prospective ... I live in Texas and I got my truck in like 4-5 days , moment I got VIN and I was getting option to chose delivery date and I was getting in 2-3 days ... I chose 4-5 days since I had to arrange payment and insuurance .... infact I had access to there inventory lot and I went the next day to find my truck before delivery and I located it ... hahaha

They are parked in a near by lot something like this ...

It’s been nearly two weeks for me and still no info from Tesla. I suspect we will all get them before the end of the quarter though.

Have you called your SC and asked for the location and an ETA? My SC noticed notes on mine that gave an estimated time of delivery to the SC.

Got my VIN on May 23rd. Tampa SC told me that the truck is in Jacksonville Railyard, should be transported to Tampa tomorrow. Delivery will be scheduled accordingly. You can also chat in the App to find out the location of the truck and approximate arrival date to the delivery center.

Yeah, I'm in NC and live 2 hours away from the SC. I am going up there tomorrow and staying overnight so I asked them if I could pick it up Thursday instead of Friday so I don't have to drive both ways twice. I haven't heard back from them in the app yet but hoping they can hook a brother up.

I have messaged the “Tesla Delivery” team through the app and they are more cryptic and lacking of information than the SC. At least the Sc tried to track the truck and estimates a timeline. Through the app they just keep saying “No ETA, its en route and can be between 2-4 weeks”

Interesting! For me, the App and the SC center both, were on the same page.
