They were burned alive. I've said it before, all windows being laminated is a bad idea. Its not just a CT thing, other vehicles are starting to do it too.

Here you can see the CT is against a wall, and the passenger doors are heavily damaged, I assume they couldnt open. The windows offer no escape unless they were already opened.

That’s tragic. The truck that’s shown looks heavily damaged, but not burned. The CT that hit a ditch in Texas and caught fire was just a pile of charred debris after. What am I missing?

This is really tragic. I tend to think I would rather have laminated windows to prevent smash and grabs, but that only holds true if this doesn’t happen to me. Would the passengers even been able to escape with normal windows?

A better solution is for battery companies to speed up adoption of battery separator technology that prevents Li-ion fires. My friend started Soteria Battery Innovation Group which already has 120 major company’s licensing technology that prevents fires in batteries even if you drive nails through them. The problem is that these companies will likely do 10 years of testing before they mass produce it because you can’t afford issues at very high volume.

it will be a great day when cars don’t have anything that can easily catch fire.

Go to the link, you can see fire damage from different angles. This is in a very populated city, fire trucks were likely there in minutes.

EV fires are generally slow to start, then become extremely intense. I would like to know how long it took to get started. What is the time between crash and fatal heat?

There aren't many photos available of this, but this one seems to show charring inside the truck:

Ok thanks. I’m curious as to where the fire started if the inside is charred and the rest of the truck is almost intact.

Don’t care laminated or made of steel I’m kicking that window open if I can’t get out.

Just read and watched the news on it. I’m just going to guess speeding and possible drinking they were in there 20s and another kid in a separate car was following them. Maybe a little racing?

Per the article, the one survivor was pulled out by another motorist (who also received burns).
Photos show wheel detached from the impact.

Many of the articles that I read stated that laminated glass is so tough that hammers may not be enough to full break the window to be able to kick it out. That sucks to know knowing I bought two emergency hammers for my CT.

Here is just one article:
The Right Way to Break a Car Window in an Emergency | Lifehacker

That is pretty scary to know. So, what is the solution to get out of the Cybertruck if the doors are damaged beyond being able to open them with the emergency lever?

Any glass puncture tools to purchase in case something happens to window or door mechanism preventing opening?
