Shocking video all around --

1) pedestrian hit by a car!
2) driver hits pedestrian while paying attention / being distracted by Cybertruck?!
3) witness continues paying attention to Cybertruck instead of the pedestrian/accident!

Hope that person's ok!

Odds are that this pedestrian wil be far from OK.

Auto vs pedestrian accidents are notorious for causing worse injuries than initially suspected due to straight up physics, especially when the pedestrian is hit hard enough to knock them to the ground. At least they rolled which may take some of the force out of the potential injuries so this would be a VERY lucky pedestrain to emerge unscathed.

Having said that I will be a dick here and just state the obvious with some tough love:

Darwinian selection.

NOTHING is worth forsaking safety. I don’t care how rare or cool the thing is that distracts you, if you do not take charge if your own safety you put not only your own but other’s safety at risk. Once this person gets hit and rolls into traffic perhaps another car slams on their brakes, is rear-ended as a result and someone is injured or dies as a result of that secondary accident.

People need to look up from their phones, and prioritize their safety for the sake of themselves and others around them. This is crazy.

I love lots of exotic cars. I’m not going to whip out my phone to video or photo one of them i see in the wild while standing in the middle of a busy street. No way. Not worth it. Horrible judgment. This person is old enough to know better. Tough to tell from the video but assuming they do not have special needs this person really is in the wrong and this accident was a consequence of extremely poor decision making. I do NOT blame the truck. Not sure about the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian, but I do blame the pedestrian taking the video in a place and time no person has any business being distracted and taking a video. We are all responsible for self-preservation and this person acted as if this was not the case. F**k around and find out. They found out.

Cheers

I hope the guy's okay and all but it's hilarious how the cameraman just completely disregarded him
I'm in the same boat, really hope the guy who got hit is all right and him getting hit is not funny at all. With that said it's absolutely hilarious that the guy videoing just disregards the guy who got hit focusing on the cybertruck.

OMG! Hope the pedestrian is Ok. I see a hard stop from the car right before the video stopped. I’m assuming the pedestrian is not run over and it’s not fatal.

Distracted driving is seriously increasing at an alarming rate. We just have one damn important thing to do while driving - look ahead, and some can’t do this basic thing! ?‍♂

The camera following CT and not the pedestrian is definitely hilarious. I guess that’s what happens whenever CT with a badass wrap goes around the town - Love it or hate it, you can’t ignore it! ?

The pedestrian, hope he is ok, the driver, and the cameraman, will all sue Tesla, Elon, and that CT driver. They have already retained the services of the law firm from the Delaware case.

The videographer was concentrating on his target and may well have totally missed the pedestrian impact until after the video ends. As a case in point:
good one, but oh boy - I only see the gorilla now ??

I can kind of understand that. I used to get very distracted by young women in mini-skirts. But that was back when I was in my 20s.
Now I just get distracted by classic cars. >sigh<

well the CT did look good in blue!

Hopefully the Ped is ok!
We just drove past a CT in Denver that was wrapped in the same color. I wonder if that was the truck.
