China now has built and is selling the Model Y with CATL MP3 battery modules.

What is MP3?

CATL MP3 are just a flat LFP battery module, same as Berlin Tesla's B.Y.D. blade flat LFP battery.

It seems CATL has improved their flat LFP configuration and LFP chemistry.

According to the article they used CLTC which is even more forgiving than WTLP

CLTC is 15-25% higher than WTLP
WTLP is 11% higher than EPA

I am guessing around 300 miles EPA

How can you claim range without the vehicle that battery will be in? Aerodynamics, weight, rolling resistance, how it is driven, where it is driven, etc… so many variables…

nC battery charging is very interesting.
I hope it works as expected and does not shorten the life of the battery.
