Total spitball guesses in order of likelihood in my opinion

1. Trailer accessory + custom (proprietary?) wiring harness. The Telo development team had been talking about something like that, and attempts to make a new industry standard plug/ receptacle for such a thing

2. Loadable spare battery in the bed (heavy AF for ~30-40kWh though). IIRC, Ford has a patent on this, might be something Tesla got in exchange for Supercharger access for Ford Brand

3. Software unlock extra usable kWh in the pack, but 30+ kWh locked / unlocked seems like a stretch to me

No info on pricing for the range extender? This was almost as bad as the RAM event...almost.

If the battery could be tied in to my home system when I didn't need the range, loaded into the bed when I do, I'd be in. Need to see pricing though.

I personally think range extender makes a lot of sense, especially as a rental. You almost never need it and for that one time when you do (road trip?) I'd rather rent it from tesla for a few days

It'd be nice if the "range extender" was usable as a PowerWall when it isn't in your truck.
