Two years ago I hypothesized that Mexico would be a good location for Tesla Gigafactory because the extensive number of free-trade agreements Mexico has.

Up to now, Tesla China factory has been the major export hub. Now Mexico Gigafactory will also be a export hub (not just to U.S.).

Mexico might export to Central America, South America, Eastern Africa, Caribbean Islands, Europe, and maybe Australia, New Zealand.

Cybertruck production needs no paint-shop. Cybertruck gigcastings for Mexico plant could be made at Austin TX and delivered to Mexico plant by Tesla Semi. Then empty Tesla Semi could visit parts suppliers in Mexico, load up with parts and return to Austin with parts for Austin production line. Gigafactory Mexico could also build vans based on Cybertruck platform. Once Gigafactory Mexico Cybertruck platform production ramps to high enough volume, Gigafactory Mexico could install their own 9T IRDA gigapress.

I think Cybertrucks for export might be made in Mexico and if Tesla desigbs a smakker Cybertruck (Wolverine) for world market that truck would be made in Mexico Gigafactory.

So I think there is a high probability that Australia will get all the Cybertrucks it has demand for.

It won't be everything to everyone but it'll be good enough at what it does that, when compared as a whole, it'll be a legacy killer. Just my 2 c's.

Weird thing about trucks is people buy them for those 2 days a month where they need to haul stuff because it’s it’s such a headache to rent. If you took away the friction in vehicle rental, maybe fewer people would want to own a truck?

if it’s between$70-90k I’m pretty sure it’s going to easy sell 40k units, and be the best selling vehicle in the Australian market… don’t forget 1 tonne Utes are eligible for an instant asset write off for small businesses.
