Be nice to get some word on whether it will be flat towable behind a motorhome (I'm a full timer). I won't be able to get my day 1 reservation if that is the case since I'm not willing to trailer it. Guess I keep the Wrangler until something better comes along.
I never thought of this. How does it normally work? You could theoretically charge your battery this way if you needed to lol

On my Wrangler, it attaches at the bumper on two points via a tow bar. There is also the standard wiring harness to operate the turn/brake lights and air line to actuate the brake pedal in sync with the motorhome air brakes.

Regenerative braking while towing it would be nice that way it tops itself off while helping the motorhome stop faster. I guess based on what I've read though is that it needs engineering in order to work properly since the motors are always engaged and the CT would need to know when it's being towed in order to provide cooling, etc.

I also want it because with it's massive battery it would be a massive improvement when dry camping. I have to run my generator twice to charge the batteries, a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours at night to keep the 7.2 kwh (half that usable) battery bank from going too low. Obviously I could go a week or more plugged into the CT w/o needing to charge.

I imagine, if they really are doing steer by wire they can totally enable this feature. Neutral in Teslas feels like there is no resistance and regen brakes for slowing would. be sweet. Brake by. wire. was. rumored too. I think it's possible. (Sorry for extra periods, my mac has. butterfly keyboard. and it sucks)

You cannot flat-tow a Tesla.

The motors cannot be disconnected from the wheels. Eventually the motors will overheat and be damaged.

Well, this is actually bad news for me. 5 seats is a deal breaker.... Sucks to be a fan boy for 3 years to find out they won't have the 6th seat, my wife said she would make me stay home before one of the kids.
Who knows, you may be an empty nester before actual delivery.:cautious:

Even in neutral? It's not a real neutral but feels like very little resistance. would the car not cool it when the temps rise?
