I can speak to the car crash. I had a pretty severe frontal crash in my Y and my laptop was totally fine in the frunk.

But yea I mean, it's up to your interpretation I suppose. If you think storing is using I'm cool with it.

I literally open mine everyday
raises a good point too: I am now able to think about safety in terms of items in the cab becoming projectiles in a crash.

especially with three little ones in the cab, I try and stay cognizant of using the frunk for those items I don’t like imagining flying around in the cab

that’s one of those Frunk use cases that isn’t necessarily frequent, but high value

Oh interesting, I saw someone say they would use it more if it was motorized.
I am in minority. I prefer simplicity and reliability to convenience and frankly waiting for the slow Frunk to open is not that much more convenient than immediately opening of rear door. I have had a lot more motorized functions going wrong over the years than mechanical for the same parts of the vehicle. I have seen both Rivian and lightning get confused over closing the Frunk and seeing it as closed (which prevents you from driving). If it takes 500 times closing it before it leaves me stranded in the middle of a road trip. I want to hit the 500 at 100,000 mile not at the 10,000 mile. I know it is an old man way of thinking but I am an old man.

For those using it for camping or pulling an RV, For me, the Frunk will be fantastic for a portable fridge, and easy access to the bric-a-brac that's carted around.

Interestingly, I wonder how a drain would work in boat mode. :D

My 2-car garage is a lot deeper than it is wide. It would be easier to access the frunk for groceries and packages than it would be to get stuff in an out of the back seat area.

Off topic, but I wonder if the back seats will split or fold up for more floor space?

The frunk is perfect for small stuff that would slide around in the trunk. Think laptop backpack, grocery bags and similar. I purchased a loading net for the trunk that works well. However the frunk is more convenient for me despite it not being powered.

It will be permanent storage for a couple of things and even more things if sail storage is not a thing.

CT frunk might be big enough for trunk size items

It's a great place to put things I hope I'll never use. Jack, Compressor, charge cords etc.

I found a down vest I've been missing since September when i opened my frunk last week.

The CYBERFRUNK may be different since it'll be my RV trailer tow vehicle. If it fits a particular bit of kit for RV life (Blackstone grill, folding chairs, stabilizer blocks, etc.) it might find more regular use.
Smart EQ.

don't use it at all, but current Tesla is a commuter car, literally 2 use cases: haul a$$ is the mountains (dont bring anything with me) or commute to work in which case I throw my laptop bag on the seat. Truck will be different as I'll use it daily/travel/dirtbikes/camping/towing - so i'll use all the storage it has - cant ever have enough in a truck.

Also, my m3P has the under trunk storage where I keep the tire inflator, jack pucks, first aid kit, etc

Also hate when you come up to the car (from a store for example) and you have to pull your phone out to open, vs. trunk has physical button - not as user friendly.

That is why I bought a fob. So easy

Could also do smartwatch app or tessie app with Google voice

But if you have an iPhone you probably would have to get the fob or use your phone
