That calculation is gibberish. As has been pointed out many times before, anything ordered from Tesla that didn't get a ship date or needed further action later, gets a reservation number. And they also issue numbers regionally, so that they're not all from the same cloud server, but spread out and delegated.Well, that blows the orders sequence right up

I just checked the updated order page, and there is a variable for VIN in the javascript on the page. Obviously its blank now, but it is there. So that is something for you early reservation holders to keep an eye on.
Mine won't be showing up for at least 3-4 years.
I've pasted a shortened version of that javascript code, with everything but the variables I am referencing removed. Obviously also removed my specific reservation number.
Valid point. I think this would have been a pre-config tip off prior to the variant shake up, when what we reserved lined up with what was being produced. But now that there is a quad motor option that no one has actually reserved in the system, most likely they will consider everyones reserved options to be a generic reservation instead of a specific model reservation.
That is the way it worked with my Lightning order. I was invited to place order, give additional down payment, dealer accepted and vin was created later in process
I have a first day order that starts 112....... and the web page has a different layout and there is no 'Trade-in' hyperlink. I wonder if this is a way to elicit a response so a saleperson can try and sell you a 3 or y. There is a link to enter your trade in. Filled it out and submitted. You receive an eamil back within 24 hours verifying it has been received and as you stated there is a call to action, suggesting a test drive. So to your point they would have you come in and drive a 3 or a y or what ever. Not a Cybertruck, YET
