I wouldn't go so far as to say the ramp is gone... far from it. I noticed in one of the recently released videos that someone reached out and pulled on the tailgate cable. The gate was down level to the bed but the cables were both loose. It looks like the cables would let the tailgate tilt down a bit but just short of hitting the bumper. I have a feeling the ramp is still in there.

I see two cables attached to the sides of the tailgate and has anyone noticed it these are removable to allow the tailgate to tilt downward to turn into a ramp? I really need this feature for my dog to walk up to the bed.
The slack in the cables when the tailgate is flat tells me they are there to keep the tailgate from hitting the bumper when in ramp mode.

It's nice but I want access to the bed from the cab. Please. Elon.

I previously discussed this from the info in the tonneau patent application, but this vault video is finally taken from an angle when someone pushes the button that shows it pretty conclusively:

the uppermost ~1/3rd of the vault is stored between the bed bulkhead and cab

watch the video a few times, and get a feel for the speed at which the tonneau moves - then note that the instant the guy pushes the button the tonneau lip jumps out of the sill below the rear window

this all jives with the language of the patent

No further nails needed in the midgate coffin

I’ll be happy if the window goes down.

Wow if this truck has no place to put a spare, even a donut, that is going to be a huge miss.
My spare is screwed to my bed. It’s to big to fit in the factory spot underneath. It works, but I have to take it out a lot. I only really care about having it with me when I’m off-roading.

Genuinely curious what allyou use your PP outlets for that it’s so mission critical?
I want it so I have a proper battery backup. With or without vtg 220 would be nice. I don’t always have access to power where I need it on the property.

Since that's only a cover and there's no receptacle installed in there yet - we can only guess for now.

Do we even know if a 110volts circuit is what's provided there? Could it be a 220volts? Considering Tesla's approach to wire size and power, I'm wondering. Maybe it's a custom receptacle that has both 220volts and 110volts. We should remember that our (US) 220volts is really two phases/circuits of 110volts, so if their inverter or whatever is setup the same, they could possibly provide both? But if I had to choose, I'd prefer 110volts.

It is possible that the 120 plug will have 120V on each but use an adapter that can plug into both 120 plugs and give 240V so it can be used for either use.

I swear they said there would be a 220v output, but this tiny little cover isn’t hiding that. My guess is it’ll be elsewhere. Perhaps in the frunk. I still think sail pillar area would be the best place for power. If there are sail pillar storage areas.
NEMA 6-20 220V (20A) outlets are the same physical size as standard 110V (15-20A) NEMA 5-15/5-20 outlet.

Elon said the CT can supply a small house. To me a small house is an RV.

RV parks in AU supply 15amps 240V
Interesting. Old RV parks in the US supply 120V @ 30A. Newer ones have 240V @ 50A or both 120V/30A and 240V/50A, such as the park I stay in for work. Actually, now that I think about it, the park I'm in also includes a 120V/15A standard outlet as well. :)

Agree. For me the window should open so you can heat/cool vault area.
I just need a pass through for 10-12’ pieces of lumber and metal. I hate using a trailer for just a few sticks.

Pretty much an place I currently have to use a generator. Construction projects, camping, keeping the freezer and refrigerator running during power outages, etc.

Yup. standard spring clip removal like many other trucks.
