Raccoon Damages Cybertruck Bed Vault Tonneau Cover

Need to make a 90 degree piece out of metal that is the length of the rubber seal and have one side go over the rubber piece and the rest sandwich between the tonneau cover and tailgate for future use. That'll prevent any future break in attempt damage.

Maybe they need to consider making that trim piece out of aluminum or stainless as well. However I can understand the weight considerations and decisions Tesla had to make.

Was any food in the vault that the raccoons likely smelled? There will always be low incidence break-in attempts by animals in wild wood areas I guess. Animal repellent sprayed on parts of the Cybertruck when camping might not be a bad idea. The raccoons were actually smart to perceive that was a possible point of entry.

It would be hard to get a seal with aluminum or stailess in that location. The main point of the rubber is as a water intrusion seal.

Be thankful it was just a raccoon. You should see the damage to my house recently with a bear.

Rule 1: Don’t keep food in your truck bed. They musta have smelled something. They generally won’t go places they shouldn’t unless they smell something tasty.

Rule 2: Get yourself a nice air rifle. You can fix that problem quickly if you desire.
