Nice 3min overview of that Petersen C&C event

Appears to be one of the drones seen in the CT windshield reflection

Vid also shows that Franz was there in part as a panelist at a talk

Thanks for sharing. Interesting how dominated it was with EV's vs ICE

Oh, it was an inaugural BEV-only cars and coffee!
EV only, or "electrified"? I noticed a Ford Maverick in the video, and that is only available as a hybrid (Unless it was converted :D ).

Such minor difference. Sliver of width, sliver of length, no door handles, no light bar, seats 5.

Use the people for scale, at some level anyway. It's just so similar. They shaved more off the front than anything. Personally don't care about the frunk, but I know some do.

Can I fit my backpack? tight.

The hood is shorter but the dash and windscreen, and a pillar window are longer. The front grill has been tucked in a bit, but the frunk was always going to go under the massive dash.

Frunk doesn't really seem to go under the dash on release trucks. From what I've gathered, that is all computer / AC / fan systems.

Since we never saw the frunk before, I wonder if they had to push all that deeper into the dashboard to make space for the frunk as we know it.

It's quite clear from the front bumper air inlet pictures that the main radiator is laying nearly flat under the frunk. The heat pump might be behind the frunk in the firewall, like on the MY, but the radiator is completely below the height of the frunk floor.

BTW the computer is only the size of two notebooks, the AC pump the size of a gallon of milk, and interior fans are normally not larger than a fist. The front radiator has a fan, but that's flat on the back of the radiator. The CT doesn't have inherently more gear than a MY to fit under the hood, except for maybe the air compressor, or maybe the power inverters for the V2H, but has substantially more volume to contain it.

I still look at that deep dash and wonder why they didn't create internal storage on the passenger side. How nifty it would have been.

Maybe they did. Maybe the dash is a lid that opens up to storage space.

Maybe the frunk storage has upper part that extends under the dash.

We just don't know.

You just don't waste the opportunity to create space.

If the frunk does not go under the windshield it will be interesting to see Munro's teardown. I guess it could be that they want the heat pump and compressor away from the cabin for NVH reasons and/or a large air cylinder spanning across the shock towers is blocking access to much of that space, thus limiting frunk depth.
