To the average consumer 54,900 is expensive.

IMO 100k makes it unattainium for 70% of those 2 million deposits.

To me, the back seat is fine. I have other cars the have a high beltline. My kids are grown, so rear visibility is not an issue. A large greenhouse in the Florida sun is IMO.

From the other thread showing the rollover crash tested model, we got a great glimpse of the back seat area in ways we haven't seen yet.

I figured this may warrant it's own separate thread from the crash discussion. Let's talk about it:

So wait... What is that behind the fold down arm rest of the back seat? Is that a passthrough to the truck bed?

If you want to pay 100k I am sure they will be happy to put that in for you. At 54,900 I don't mind not having it.

Disclaimer, I do not know it will be 54,900., but I will bet a six pack it is not 100k.
Um.... I doubt you can get them to take 100k (or any other price other than what shows up in the website when you make an order... This isn't a dealership model where they try to take you for everything they can get.

But hey, if you really need to throw that extra cash somewhere, I know how to make good use of it.

Do I have to put my sarcasm disclaimer on every post I make?

Would have thought you for sure would have recognized it

or maybe I'm missing your back at me sarcasm??

Anyone can make expensive cars. I was a lot more impressed by Bolt and Wuling Bingo. As nice as more pixels and those door handles are on the Caddy, I wouldn't pay that much for it. What price Tesla can deliver a CT at is the true measure of success.

You can default the vast majority of my comments to either straight humor or sarcasm at the moment. I've been around here for years and short of the recent new images/videos we've seen recently there hasn't been much new info for a very long time so I'm pretty much talked out about the CT at the moment. When we start getting hard data again, I'll be happy to engage in a serious manner again. But till we get verifiable official data, I am not going to take any of the rumors that come across here (100% true of course) as anything to engage with other than humor or sarcasm.

I get that some people don't see my sarcasm streak coming though so I'm not too surprised that you are questioning it.

Yes... Recently I've been seeing a lot of "/s" uses that seem to be leaning more toward silly, sad, or seriously. I don't mind seeing the label, but if labeled, at least match the sentiment that one is labeling.

Based on pixel count, that screen itself should only be a couple hundred $$. Probably a bit more because it has to be custom made to that elongated shape. But still.... Pixels are generally pretty cheap.

Lol... well you obviously don't know how to use the sarcasm label properly then and should find another hobby to pursue, other than posting comments like that on here! :p

BTW I have some CT news: It has been upgraded to have 5 wheels, and the nut that holds one of those wheels is really special.

Let the rumours begin.

I think GM is thinking, they pay for Batteries (450 miles) and development and try to recoup their money for a low volume car back by wrapping you around with a warm and fuzzy feeling of luxury. You can't see the battery but if you see a lot of pixels you may be willing to pay for it.

Our vacation property's AC is on the fritz and last week we had to become refugees in the local public library. That cool air was the true feeling of luxury for me. Luxury is often more about the meaning of something to the buyer than it is cost of it to the seller.
