From the other thread showing the rollover crash tested model, we got a great glimpse of the back seat area in ways we haven't seen yet.

I figured this may warrant it's own separate thread from the crash discussion. Let's talk about it:

If I thought I would be sitting in the back seats myself, I might care more. For my kids.... looks much better than what I had to sit in growing up, so they will be fine.

The higher window should be perfect for my dog. He's a big boy and will love sitting in that seat looking out. That is if he makes it that long. He just turned 10. Here he is as a young 3 year old.

For the level of subterfuge regarding the back it is a little underwhelming. Was hoping for some niche Tesla feature. The space seems nice however.

Looks pretty standard / basic, not sure what wow feature you could have in a back seat?

Improvements vs. my current GMC2500 Crew:
- Flat floor vs. driveline hump
- Maybe better lighting - LED Lighting Strips?
- Rear Screen - improvement for some, not useful for my use case as I just put gear back there and screen damage is a concern (minor)
- bit more seat recline / angle vs. GMC
- Assume USB-C's, maybe a 12v outlet - aka more modern charging ports
- Glass Roof / natural light

Con's vs. GMC
- No oh **** handles - teslas can be violent, holding on always a good thing - I've actually flung my buddy from one side of the rear seat to the other side in my M3P - still laugh about it today, dumb*** should have had his seatbelt on
- Size - looks smaller, but for my use case I think it'll be fine
- Rear window visibility (small windows) - dont care but some might; overall with high front setbacks, small windows, smaller size - bit more clostraphobic

Neutral
- Seat back pockets
- Flip down Cup Holder Arm Rest

Open Question
- Cant tell if rear door storage
- Storage under front seats (notice flap at bottom rear of fronts)
- Seat articulation - we've seen the bottom of rear seats fold up (like my truck), but maybe the tops also fold down (doubt it), but maybe something unique with seat design

Summary - good to go for me, averages out to neutral from what I can tell
