Check out this prototype spotted just today by @RostGuido in Palo Alto. Looks amazing in the sun and best build quality I've seen yet! All the panels and parts are lined up great.

I was returning the M3 I rented this week, and there next to me was this Jeep Gran Wagoneer. I looked at it and thought about all the posts I've seen on this board about the panel gaps and fitment. I thought the back wasn't fully closed, so I tried to close it the rest of the way. Oops, no it IS closed all the way. So I opened it and closed it again (they were a little slow at checking me in...) Nope, it still reminded me of Michael Strahan. This is a Jeep, from an established legacy auto maker.

Me? Perfect? Ha! Far far far from it. Why is that mean taking a picture of a fitment issue on a car? There is so much discussion about it with regard to Tesla, as if no one else ever releases a car with that issue. So I saw one and took a picture to post here. That's mean??? I'm sorry, I don't get it.

VW Group sets the bar for exterior panel alignment, fit and finish. I think they are the best in the automotive industry right now. Automotive shoppers will have tough time finding a misaligned body panel on a Porsche or Audi.

Unless you put the first miles on it this indicates nothing.
Rentals in particular get abused.
Could have been hit and repaired etc
