I sure hope this was not the trucks fault. Can someone explain how fireworks spontaneously ignite? I've used fireworks for 30 years, stored them, transported them, And they've never just "gone off"
I don't know what happened in this situation, but a common cause of "spontaneous" fires are oily rags.

From AI " Oily rags can spontaneously combust when the oil on the rag reacts with oxygen in the air, a process called oxidation. This process releases heat, which can build up in the rag if it's balled up or folded. If the temperature reaches the rag's combustion point, it will catch fire. "

It is an absolutely heinous attack. If the a..hole were driving a CT, all of the headlines would forget about the 10 people died and report it with a blame on CT.
Close, it was a F150 Lightning, from Texas, flying an ISIS flag.

I’m guessing the Cybertruck was a crime of opportunity… ?

Maybe the “gas” pedal caught fire ?
Oh, but that’s technically incorrect. Technically speaking… ?

Terrorist attack
I would say yes if intentional. Creates fear and terror due to its location and proximity to a large group of people. This isn't a truck set a fire on a random street in randomville.

probably some you tuber idiot, doing it to get views = $
If I was the federal prosecutor in the area. I would consider terrorism charges to deter such activity in the future.

Yeah, it's sad if it was an effigy, but it's just a truck - more will be built. People aren't so replaceable.

Imagine the person that handed over the keys to the Lightning. Will haunt them forever. Nothing they could imagine. Even if they did, and canceled rental they would be sued for discrimination. If they had a bad feeling about something they likely ended up in a rolled up carpet.
