Why would you assume that? I keep seeing people say 1000, but can’t seem to find where this figure came from?

There were some media outlets that reported it, and that also comports with my separate understanding for some time

That said, I think it is also possible Tesla had that plan and has changed their minds and extended the Founders units series

I have a question to all of those who received an invite.

• What PREORDER trim did you select? Dual Motor, Tri Motor, or RWD?
• Did you have FSD on the order?

I want to see if that had an impact on the invites. Obviously being in California and Texas was a key part of it.

that’s interesting. May be Tesla clearing out some math on multiple res holders.

two versions:

(1) anyone with multiples, taking their last res off the queue for Foundation, so that when normal orders come up the Founders will get an option to buy a second in their orig early place in line (and if they don’t execute on second truck, can clear those early multiple res out of the line)

(2) they delete the early orders, action on last order (thereby clearing customer entirely out of queue), no second truck for you

Honestly I think it is just as likely to be one of the following reasons:

a. They use a query to select who the invites go to and the Query sort order is not optimized for multiple orders and just selects the Descending Reservation # instead of Ascending.
b. Employees are doing this by hand and just randomly assign one of the reservations from the people they have selected to invite.

I still cannot believe this just happened. Was not expecting to get one until mid next year. When the email popped up wife and I were shocked. She said "get it on order before they change their mind." A little agonizing on Beast vs Dual and we closed the deal. Now I've got to sell my Rivian R1S. (Such a shame, that is an awesome vehicle. Unfortunately just one level of awesomeness below the insanity of the CT.)

Good job we have separate orders for each then. No jumping the line here guys!

I also noted some text in regards to not being allowed to take them out of the country.....hmmm.

I dunno if I really want a Foundation edition, or just really, really want a Foundation edition now.
