@Maaz, when did you get your order invite? I’m wondering if they’re still issuing VINs to the 12/8-12/9 folks or have moved on. Thanks in advance.

I’m a 12/9 order, SoCal and haven’t got a vin yet.

Less than an hour after I posted this message I received my VIN (#0964).

I’m a little jealous. Same res and order dates as you, also in OC, and no vin yet.

For those with VINs and using Tesla finance. Are they allowing you to pick a down payment amount or is it predetermined for you? I have never gone through the Tesla finance process and won’t be trading a vehicle in with this purchase. I know the down payment amount will vary by lender but it would be nice to have a ballpark of what to expect.

It's stated on mine that it will be $7,700.

I guess that's the mandatory minimum.

That is my issue, the original finance offer was $8k down and final offer was $18k down. I don't know who to ask why. I wouldn't think it is a credit issue because our ratings are over 800. I'll contact Tesla tomorrow and ask Waz Up.

My original financing through Tesla was with TD Bank at $10k down and 6.69% interest for 60 months. I checked the app on VIN day and that offer expired.

i immediately reapplied through the Tesla app and I got hosed compared to my last offer. New offer was Santander bank, $20k down, 8.81% interest for 60 month loan.

Anyone still have their original loan offer that didn’t face expiration? Or anyone lucky enough to still have TD Bank as their lender?

Reservation numbers don’t decide delivery dates. Order dates decide delivery dates.

I wonder where you are getting that information on Tesla apps of whose financing your loan and that there is an expiry.

Mine don't have those and I would think everything is set until I do the paperwork on delivery: $7,381 down and 6.69% interest.

Scare them sh1tless that you are paying cash if they don't agree to your terms -- but make sure you can make good your threat should they call you out!
