Obviously let us know how that goes as well. I'm hoping it's not always in the $4k+ range. I've already got Tesla solar and a 3x Powerwall setup, so I'm assuming it's an afternoon job to swap my v2 gateway with a v3 and install the universal wall charger to my already existing subpanel (2 ft from the wall charger install location). I can't imagine they take me for more than a grand for that. OK, maybe I can...

I completely forgot, I saw 5-6 trucks parked at this offsite lot yesterday. (I work really close by so I can send up a drone and see how many in total).

No hubcaps and they said they will not look at the truck for issues until they wash it the morning of delivery. I think they just want to do them all the same day (Saturday or Sunday) and are not going over the truck in detail for a day or two as he suggested. Unless there is something major/obvious, you are doing the vehicle QA.

I got the call yesterday for delivery on Sunday. Raining all day by the looks of it. No emails or anything and the app still had the schedule delivery option disabled. It's missing the hub caps and just hoping for no scratches or the like.

Received my quote and my full powershare install including Gateway v3 and the universal wall connector goes in on Monday. Some notes:

1) My install requires some extra labor because of the pre-existing 400A panel, and wiring in the wall connector on the front of the house, and wiring it back to the gateway
2) Gateway v3 has shipped and is at the Tesla installers now. Who knows how many they have in stock for us early folks.


Not including permitting I'm looking at around $5500 to get it all installed. I'm sure there is some bay area "tax" in this. Since the equipment comes from a tesla improved installer, it's not really a situation where you can really shop around unless you want to really be patient and find alternate qualified installers.

Started off being Sunnyvale, then moved to Fremont around the 20th and now back to Sunnyvale.
sunnyvale is a 20 min drive while Fremont is a 10 min drive.
Anyone else having these location changes?
