Sparingly few RN's in the FS order list are higher than 11285 to the point where I genuinely wonder if those are the result of some personal connection favor or whatnot. If we ignore that small handful of exceptions the vast majority of invitation (>99%) have been between 11274 - 11285
Oh, I agree with that broadly

At the same time, I *dont* assume that those99% between 11274 - 11285 are invites to average Joes, who aren't ALSO Tesla Friends & Family.

And of THOSE Friends & Family below 11285, very few of them are represented on this forum's order sheet.

In fact, the lower one goes in RNs, the broader the % of F&F orders we'd likely find, AND the less likely those individuals are to be on this forum's order list.

So, I was only pointing this out to add the feature/clarification that has to be considered in any maths being done on the basis of extrapolating the total number of orders made to date, much less the total number of trucks built to date.

Because remember, you're somewhat treating VIN numbers (e.g., "VIN 1000") as being indicative of number of trucks built.

When in fact, below VIN 1000 are a LOT of trucks (like 500+), that have not been built.

I'm a 11274 and just got my invite last night. I have no connection to Tesla other than being a shareholder. This is my first Tesla vehicle purchase.

If they could get the $79,999.99999 retails going, they would sell more, not just because they are 20k less, but qualify for the tax credit.
They have very little interest in selling any more at this time. They are out-selling what they can produce and probably will be for some time to come.

I noticed in the Tesla app, when I swipe to my CT order, while the page is loading, before it shows the RN, there’s another number under it for a split second. It’s not a VIN, but a 16 digit number. Was tricky to spot but did a screen recording and was able to capture. Any idea what that is? I’m in the app a few times a day and feel like I would have noticed that before today.

There was discussion on this. It means nothing. It’s probably a number used to outfit orders until the VIN is assigned to the vehicle. I think only folks that have been able to order their vehicle can eventually see that number. I screen shot mine as well. It was exciting for about a day. Now nothing.

When projecting how long it will take for us all to get our trucks, don’t forget that it’s not like they were sending out invites every day nor equal numbers. It seems like they sent out a pretty large number of invites on 12/8-9 and got a lot of orders (I’d expect this group to have the highest conversation rate since they were the super early orders and some may have had earlier access). Then they didn’t send out invites again until like 12/15 and there were periodic invite days from then until now. It seems like all subsequent invites went to fewer and fewer people from the response we’ve seen here. All that to say it’s not surprising that 12/8-9 orders are taking a long time to chug through but I believe once they are done we are likely to see them getting through the rest of the December orders pretty fast. I’m not ready yet to say I definitely won’t get mine by the predicted end of March (though I am far from confident, especially since I haven’t even gotten the powershare survey yet).

Apparently there is an email survey about your current electrical service to determine if you are eligible for the PowerShare install. That survey appears to predate VIN assignment and delivery and I have not yet gotten the survey.

I don't think they are related. I am in WA, My RN is 11285xxx, received the invite on 1/17, placed the order on 1/20, so i am pretty sure i am on the very last of the order list if not the last one ( sadly!), but i already received the powershare approval on 2/2, there is no way i will get vin and/or delivery soon.
