Yea, I know I am "whistling into the wind" bc 99% of us are all in the same boat (especially for us Beast resy's), but... like I always say, one day we are all gonna miss the banter, frustration and venting. Soon, my friends, soon...

wouldn’t be so jarring if everyone wasn’t always going on about how they love Tesla’s sales tactics compared to traditional dealerships…
It’s still the most honest implementation of pure capitalism. As a shareholder I’m all for milking every dime they can from the frothing masses. You want a deal? Go buy a model Y out of inventory for $39k out the door.

10x only on demo drive, and thats 100x10 so you would need 30 people. (Ends March 1)
OK. I stand corrected. So if you solicited 30 people at the Tesla Showroom, who are already there to go for a test drive anyways, and paid them each $50 to list you, as though you referred them. That's 30K credits. But only if you have the "drive" to do it and don't mind spending the "theoretical $1,500" to go to the front of the line....

Yeah I jokingly threw around the idea of getting 30 people on these forums to do test drives lol.

They are just trying to drop credits off the book. Some people have a lot of credits but many used them to get to the delivery event ... remember? How much would that suck to feel like you got kicked back in line by someone who did not even go to the delivery event but had the credits.
Honestly, if the production and issues don't kick into gear soon, this is going to be a long wait for most of us. I got my invite and ordered in the second half of January and I still don't see that they have made it through the December Orders yet.
I see maybe 100 CT's in the delivery lot once a week or so and the number of states is still very short. NONE in VA yet ... I remain curious about why that even matters though. is is Service Centers? What?
I have texted my Tesla sales guy twice from whom I have bought two Model X's and he is incredibly ignorant or uninformed about CT. He sounds like he does not even know what it is and has never even seen one.
The lack of transparency is glaring for a public company. I still own stock and as long as the fundamentals of volume and margin and innovation remain ... I will keep it. But the lack of transparency is just crazy! Who would it hurt to say ... we can only build 3 CT's a day or we can do 500 per week now? I am still thinking it is 30 per day max. If it was a big number, like 100 per day, I think we would see more activity in the lots and more transparency too! Companies that are having a tough go of a roll out, typically are quiet.
They're ramping..... some showroom dude isn't going to know what the factory rate of production is day to day, week to week, nor would that ever be released. It isn't a lack of transparency, it's a moving target.

I see the concerns. Very very few people have 30k credits. Let’s say 50 tops.
That’s a day or two of production

this is nothing other than Tesla clearing the credits off the books. Don’t worry guys :)
Phew! For a moment I thought Tesla is allowing people to buy credits and accelerate delivery. I will turn into a Hulk if that happens! :ROFLMAO:

Why does going to the delivery event matter?

I already have a model Y that I paid much more for. I want my truck. It may be better for the bottom line now. But what about the people who are leaving the brand for something like Ford or rivian because of all the shenanigans. It's like trading short term profit for long term, likely greater, profit.

The worst part?

We've already waited 4 years. Getting something else now is admitting defeat. My pride won't let me, even though my brain says, "bro, it's like 9th grade all over again, she's not gonna date you, you're in the friend zone."

But man.. every time they throw out one of these shenanigans, I reevaluate my decisions. I'm sure I'm not the only one. CT would be my 3rd Tesla and likely wouldn't be my last but I'm pretty confident that if I got an R1S I'd feel the same about rivian.

Yall think Lady Gaga used her 30K credits for the Beast?

No, she payed in clout. Real celebrities I get. That's life. But the influencers that needed the truck to make an impact have already made the content imo.
