Was there any notification from Tesla in the app when your VIN arrived or did you just check and it was there?

No email or notification at all. I was just checking my app several times a day and there it was with some sort of message " Tesla is working on data" and when clicking on the cyber truck information the VIN was there. At this point I called in and talked to a representative to confirm and change my loan preferences which they were able to do over the phone. I was also able to ping the local delivery center for any information and they were able to give me an estimated delivery date. They are apparently saying they want about a week with the vehicle at the service center for final preparation.

It would be nice if the app had the estimated delivery listed.

Ok great. One of the other guys who got their VIN had also received an email so I’ll just keep checking both lol. Thanks for sharing about talking to your local service center for info. There’s been a mix of some saying they were able to get information and some not. Congratulations.

You need to realize, the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand. I deal with the same thing in another field and it gets exhausting with all the "where's my shit?" queries. It takes up a lot of time and money. They will deliver when they deliver.

Communication and transparency go a long way.

If there are delays, then send an email. If there is a plan to deliver to TX and CA and then adjacent states first...send another email. Send out a VIN and let weeks go by without letting them know the truck is in transit? Send an email.

All easy to automate and would significantly cut down on confusion and upset, not to mention customer service calls.

Been posting and responding here for awhile while trying to be patient. An owner recently posted he took delivery at my local service center. I figured I’d go by and ask a few questions and if I’m lucky, catch a glimpse of the truck waiting to be delivered. It was parked on the back looking absolutely beautiful so I continued to the entrance. Had the red notification dots on my email app so I open it not even thinking about the truck and staring back at me was the email I had been waiting 56 days for! Still in complete disbelief. Got VIN #1834. Reserved on night of event in 2019, order placed on 12/21, in California and VIN issued today.
