January 2024 Configuration - VIN Assigned 2/28 [Bay Area]

Was just heading to bed when I checked my app for the millionth time, and finally the VIN has landed! I haven’t seen anyone else with a January configuration date get their VIN, wanted to share the good news!

11/22/2019 - $100 deposit
01/11/2024 - $1k configuration
02/28/2024 - VIN Assigned (48 days from config)

Hoping delivery is just around the corner!

Sweet. Congrats! Question: did you complete the finance part and agree to the loan prior to receiving your VIN?
im on the fence about completing that step, as others have posted it should not delay VIN delivery, but I don’t want the offer to expire before I take delivery. I’m a 1/23/24 order in NJ. Hoping it’s before April 30, but I know that’s a possibility it is after that

I initially applied for the financing same day as configuration, then realized it was going to likely expire. Regardless, I changed my mind about financing a few weeks later so I called Tesla support to change it over to pay in cash.
