Late December 2019 here, and I keep kicking myself for not having placed my reservation weeks earlier in 2019. But then I think of everyone who placed reservations in 2020, or 2021, or 2022 or maybe 2023 and even 2024 and I think to myself "It's not so bad".

Was at the King of Prussia store a couple weeks ago to see the glorious beast live for the first time and it's far more impressive in person than in pics and videos. Frankly, looks more like a carefully designed and repeatedly engineered product from Apple than a slipshod Tesla (I have a 2021 Model S Plaid, and after nearly a decade of manufacturing the trim still doesn't fit perfectly). Spoke to the Tesla rep managing sign-in and flow - to keep it from getting crowded - and he said I should see my CT before the end of this year, but not too much before the end of the year.

So what are my fellow RN1131's hearing? Anything different? I was hoping for a late Q2 configuration email and late Q3 delivery.

Obligatory shot of the magnificent machine....

RN 113806xxx here - I reserved on 11/30. Based upon the rate of invites and potential ramps, I am estimating my invite should arrive around mid-year with a fall to late-year delivery. That would put RN1131xxxxx series invites hitting later in the fall. Depending upon the model selected, you may see it late year or (if a beast) early 2025.

Now, this all involves a number of variables that can move this up or down the calendar - so there is a chance it is useless! Much of it depends upon when/how fast Tesla ramps-up production and when they switch from Foundation Series to normal CTs.

Other than that semi-educated guess - it is just conjecture and no one (especially any service/delivery center personnel) can tell you otherwise.

Would be nice to see all 2019 reservations who want to place an order get fulfilled in 2024 - only a five-year wait :)

Then again, there could be a Cybertruck Plaid + coming out with SpaceX cold air thrusters and 500 miles of range that will do 0-60mph in under 1.5 seconds.

If only Tesla spent time and money on braking performance...

Take anything the Tesla store reps say with a grain of salt. Corporate keeps the associates in the dark on virtually everything.

You'll probably be getting yours ahead of me... got a RN1127478##, placed within seconds of it opening. Configured and ordered on December 16th 2023, but unfortunately the geographic rollout (I'm in Nebraska) is keeping it out of my hands! lol

I guess the midwest isn't ready for the CT! lol. However I did see one driving around Omaha, but I'm guessing they took delivery somewhere else perhaps.

Fair enough on the Tesla reps lack of additional information/insight but it does correlate with my simple math of ~400K reservations in front of me, a 25% take rate and first-year production of ~100K. Of course, these are just wild guesses and are no better or worse than anyone elses guesses.

If you're already ordered you're many steps ahead of me. I'm sure you'll get your VIN, and vehicle, soon enough. Sending cyber vibes!

Unfortunately for many members on this forum geographical location has a lot to do with Tesla sending you a configuration e-mail.

Why? Not living near a Tesla service center simply leads to poor customer satisfaction when owners encounter issues with early production units. Rivian followed the same MO with their R1T rollout in 2022.

I expect many software and hardware improvements will occur during the first year of production.

440k in line was the last estimate I saw so It is going to be a long wait. No way I can afford the FS or Beast FS. Waiting for an AWD. I expect Q3 2025, with deliver in the Q4? Fingers crossed

I would have thought so too, but I know multiple Alaskans who received their invite emails to order FS. We're as far as one can possibly get from a service center. I guess Tesla doesn't care this go around?

11311 here in VA. Hoping for a mid summer invite. Here is a chart I posted in another thread that shows where reservation number vs invite date plot out. Lots of variables could alter the trajectory but recent invites have been tracking close to this line.
