As many may know the sound system is simply glorious.

But adjusting the EQ to my preference got it sounding even better.

I don't have my truck yet, but with my state of hearing, the volume will probably get turned up to "11"....

After all these years it's funny we're still stuck at 11. ?

I noticed that a lot of you have the immersive set pretty low. I read somewhere that if you do that you lose the road noise cancelation feature. Have you noticed a difference in road noise at lower settings?

I’ve messed around a lot with that immersion setting. Auto seems to dynamically change based on a lot of different factors which is cool. I actually don’t think the CT has the noise cancellation feature. Never saw it in the settings. Can someone confirm?

I genuinely want to see how strong the bass of the truck is lmfao. Some songs I’m planning on blasting as soon as I get that truck:

Guinnea pigged it for you. Second song did pretty well. First and third song sounded like absolute trash. Not only did those ultra low hits completely fail, but they caused the mids and highs to distort and crackle. Those are some serious torture tests though. Those would embarrass any other stock system as well. You'll still need some backseat boomers if that's what you're going for. The system crushes at about 65-70 Hz and above but tapers off quickly below that.

Still love the system! We just need JL or someone to design a 48V powered sub that fits under the rear seat. I did something similar in my M3P and it was total game changer!

Didn’t think someone would actually do this lmfao. Would you say it performs better than other models?

I wonder if it’s worth messing with the electrical system to add additional subwoofers. I would want a clean box that takes up all three rear seats folded up that I can easily remove when I need rear passenger space and I could just throw the box into the bed when not in use.

Yes, better than my M3P and my wife's MY. Which are both great systems!

OK then, I guess I'm glad I'm not your next door neighbor! The distortion level mixed into those recording on purpose is next level. And not in a good way.

Lmfao I probably could’ve given better songs, but they usually reduce the bass for the listener. Underground rappers usually dgaf.

I found the ultimate sound system test:

Not sure it’s advantageous to add additional subwoofers—it’s THAT good!

Since the time I made this thread, I have noticed that the sound system broke in really nicely after several hours of running it at random volumes. It was definitely not this crisp at delivery. And I’ve only played through Bluetooth so far which maxes out at 256kbps!

I don’t have a playlist that’s filled with bass heavy songs, but my main playlist that I use has some songs if you look at the newer added songs.

The bass rap mix is good also (the link I shared is the mix Spotify generated for me, but if you search it yourself you’ll be able to generate your own.

I've been find of testing with

2001: A Space Odyssey • Main Theme/Also Sprach Zarathustra • Richard Strauss (youtube.com)

It starts with the low rumble, adds some trumpets and then full brass. The first section just shows the diaphragms moving on the speakers and the full brass sees how well the crossover works. I'm always played from CDs, and you don't quite get the same effect from YouTube.

It's been fun over the years to walk into some audio stores and see the sales people smile at the bass and then cringe when they hear the brass sound like crap on their systems.

I have the bass turned down -1. I listen to electronic and rap so I like bass. Doesn’t sound as crisp to me turned up. Wish I took picture of my settings.
