Considerations:
1. How long to wait thru 230,000 preorder reservations (112988XXXX)
2. Price at this time is $20,000 more, a good reason to wait. However, I am 77.
3. The additional $20,000 includes $12,000 FSD.
4. FSD price will probably be increased by the time non FS trucks are available
5. Drivable FSD is getting close and would hate to miss out. FOMO
6. Auto Pilot may be rolled into the FSD package when it becomes available
7. Is FSD available yet on other model Teslas that have hardware 4 ?
8. Any other features other than FSD included that are worth considering in the foundation series?

Any thoughts on any or all of these considerations?

Yup. Based on your res #, you are looking at maybe the end of 2025 or more likely, the first half of 2026 for a non FS CT. With that alone, i would be going for the FS.

Other features in the FS? The primary benefits are the included FSD, prem wheels tires, and the white interior trim pieces. The rest is nice, but not substantial.

If you have the $, I think u should order the FSCT. The delivery time for the standard CT is unknown. You will spend too much time just thinking about when will the standard CT arrive, ordering it now will be better.

At the beginning of a rollout it always looks as if there is a *very* long queue which will remain for years to come.

The truth is queues quickly dissipate and vehicles become available easily. Model 3 had such a looong queue and wasn't 80k. But in 4 quarters you could get one in a month.

I expect you can get your non-FS a few months after they start delivering non-FS, which might be end of this year.

But at your age - if you can afford, why wait ?

FSD is not *getting close*. It is getting better - 12 is better than 11 in some respects (but seems to get into dangerous situations more often). FSD has never been solved - so nobody knows what it will take - or how long.

I have been using FSD for more than a year now and find it very useful - but have no illusions about it being anything other than ADAS for several years more.

BTW, I think AP will always be available for free. Won't be rolled into FSD package.

No way man, and this is coming from the most optimistic guy in the world in terms of CT production hopes & possibilities....

For a res # 112988xxx, there is absolutely a zero % chance of a delivery this year(excluding special programs like referral credits, etc). Event for an end of 2025 delivery with this res #, production will need to go amazingly well and 50% of the reservations ahead in line would have to bow out.

After reading some other posts I'm not sure FSD is actually included, it says "capable". would like to have it because as you say it is useful.

After reading some other posts I'm not sure it is included because the verbage in the orders say "capable". I agree about it being useful. I do know from my 2 months of subscriptions it kept me more alert not knowing what it was going to do next.

FSD is definitely included with the FS trucks as in, once Tesla enables it for the CT, there will be no added cost subscription or otherwise.

It's not so much the FSD I'm wanting, it's at least auto pilot. $100K for a Tesla that doesn't have it is tough.

Between FSD and upgraded wheels, which I would guess most people will opt for(standard all weathers and small Aeros are hideously weak looking), that’s $15k of value right there. If that’s your thought FS is only a $5k mark up. NOT $20k like everyone seems to throw around. Give me a break. Even if you only buy advanced autopilot and wheels your at $9k plus the base $79 and change. No guarantee on rebate.
Put down your $1,000 and get on the list. IMO

The upcoming standard all season tires and wheel covers are going to look wimpy on the $79,990 Cybertruck.

It should be noted that I read a thread yesterday where a CS rep (take that with a grain of salt) messaged a CT res holder that the FSD $7k price WILL be grandfathered. So, if you do choose to go with the Non FS, FSD will be $7k for early res holders, not the $12k everyone else will pay.

If they honor the $7k for people who reserved that price, Awesome! But that is still $7k + $3k(for other than really bad looking wheels) is $89k AWD cybertruck. So a $10k surcharge for FS if you put no value in the other adds.
In my option that is that will be the vast majority minimum cost on non FS AWD sales.
