RN11292xxxx got the Design button in the Tesla website account - what should I do?

got into my Tesla account today and just saw the Design button.. almost fell off my chair.... how did they get to me? oddly enough I did not receive any email saying configure your Cybertruck so I am intrigued about why I see the Design button all of a sudden.

so, going in the Tesla account I see only 2 options to choose from: AWD FS and Cyberbeast FS.

I've been waiting for a long time for this moment to order my AWD version but I can't and won't spring for AWD Foundation Series for 20,000 reasons .

What do I do? do nothing and wait until I get to see AWD no Foundation Series as a new available option popping up? Do I call Tesla?

where do I make it clear to Tesla that I want a regular AWD sku, whenever that comes along?

thank you for being a great community of enthusiastic ( at times crazy enthusiastic) people who helped me through my 4+ years of waiting... there's 1-2 years more, but, like many here, it is just a matter of time until I will get the ONLY NEW CAR I EVER WANTED.

I'm on the same train RN1129. I really wanted to buy it but I can't afford a 100k/120k + tax car. I just closed Tesla web page and meditated over a beer or 12pk.

You just have to wait little bit longer. Production is ramping up, build quality improving. Give it 6 months and they will call you up for non FS. You'll be better off.

man, this like getting a pass on a blonde supermodel.. and waiting until she comes around and is more affordable and available. ...

the problem is I don't drink... ... so then I can read some books, meditate, go make more money or smtg... just get myself away from the temptation....

Did it say on the order page what time frame I.e late 24 or mid summer? Just trying to gauge how close they are to wrapping up this year’s deliveries.

There's zero chance of that. there are at least 10,000 FS orders already. Likely closer to 15,000. Including orders with vins, orders without vins, and delivered orders.

At 11292xxxx reservation number and being in WA you are about 175,000th on the list
Which means about 1 out of every 75 reservations in front of you decided to pay up $20k to get the truck early.
Can't tell you what to do with that information because that is a personal decision, but just providing a little context.

I speculate my RN is somewhere around 160k.

My hypothesis is that Tesla must have asked at least the first 150k -200k reservation holders if they want a foundation series ( in addition to the hand picked celebrity RNs that are further back in the 2M+ waiting line) and they got about 10%-15% conversion rate… so that is somewhere 20k-40k FS trucks to be produced…. They may try to reach out further in the queue … I would if I was them … because they are in the business to make money . They don’t care much about being fair to honest patient committed potential buyers with a strong sense of value for the money ? ?

So maybe in 6 mos they could show the FS exclusives and start offering the regular AWD option. That is if they can make 100k trucks in 2024.

My belief is that once they start offering the regular AWD the conversion rate will double to 25%~40% and I that means I’ll still have to wait at least another year… that’s 25% more wait then big wait i do so far… I’ve grown so much ( spiritually ?) that I could be a basketball player ?

15k seems ambitious 10k more reasonable. Seems they are at the high 1129xxx crowd. Depends on how much runway is left for the remaining part of this year. Most (not all) are seeing late 24 for delivery dates.
