I hope I'll fall in love with it later.

I'm from Benz and I've used gas and hybrid vehicles, this is the first time with electric one.

Things I dislike:

- Gas pedal: it startled me when first time I released the gas pedal to put my foot on the brake. It brakes immediately when I removed my foot off the gas for re-gen. I know I can adjust it later but still I just want to put my foot on brake when slowing down or braking. There's a thread a member hit the light pole when turning I guess because of this.

- My aging eyes, just a few more years to retire, don't like the screen no matter the brightness. I need glasses to see that screen but not for driving. So I put my glasses down on the center console and use it to see what's going on behind me with that little rectangle screen of the rear camera, or read what data on it.

- Arrows of the turning signals: I prefer the levers better.

- Side mirrors: small with weird shapes.

- My iPhone's battery is draining faster.

- Road noises: I hope it might get better because of new tires. The ODO was only 14 miles when I picked up yesterday.

- Too much attentions from people.

Things I like:

- Not sure what. Probably the tough body and glasses: the reason I put down $100 deposit in Nov, 2019. I hate to see the first scratch, dent, ding, ... on the new car's paint.

Your brain will quickly remap the regenerative braking and will Love it

kind of how i had to remap the drive by wire and four wheel steering

the suspension and ventilated seats were the first drive positive things i noted.

I think a lot of it just has to do with what you’ve been used to all these years. The one thing I really like is 1 pedal driving. If you get good at feathering the pedal, it will take a LONG time before you need your next brake job. This is my first EV as well and so far, the things I don’t like are very minor.

I have had no issues with charging my fold 4. From what I have read so far it seems to be apple phones? Anyone with other android phones having issues?

Going straight into a Tesla with no experience seems a bit weird. It drives very similar to all other Tesla's. Did you buy a cybertruck without even test driving another Tesla? That seems more on you if that's the case.

From my experience, I already drove a Tesla and everything about the truck is better. I have absolutely zero complaints.

Countless people are going from no Tesla to Cybertruck. Everyone will adjust fast I’m sure.

Congrats on the truck!

First off the dude that hit the light post was a fucking full of shit shister. So there’s that. It takes a hot minute or 5 to get used to the brake regen thing when you first drive an EV.

you’ll get used to it! Personally, I love not having to use brakes most of the time.

Lastly you won’t have to worry about the first ding scratch etc on the new paint. It isn’t painted… ??

I would be happy to take it off your hands if you end up disliking it ;)

Here is my take on my drives in the CT.

STRONG DISLIKE:
Panels all different shades of silver and it's streaking. Anyone in SoCal want to help me clean them and put proctaclear on it? I have everything.

Regen:
What I don't like is the regen not strong enough. I felt like I needed to use my brakes more often. In my Model 3, I never use the brake.

Turn Signal:
I still don't like the turn signal buttons. I can't signal left when I just made a right turn and the wheel is still cocked to the right. For example, in tight parking lots like a busy mall or shopping center.

Cruise control:
Software can't keep a consistent energy at pace. The truck will pulse at cruise. For example, at 65mph (any speed will do) and to stay at 65, the motor will speed up and slow down like the wheel is an oval, there is a long row and a short row. Seems like the battery is increasing engery and reduce it it every .5 second. This doesn't happen if I manually drive at 65.

Windshield:
Generate more wind noise then I expected, but fine with the radio On. Not an issue. Overall very quite.

Autowiper:
Since it's raining in SoCal, I want to call this out. I have firmware 2024.8.8 and Autowiper doesn't work. I have to use it manually. It's light, no rain, or heavy ra8n every few minutes so annoying to keep changing the speed on the dashboard.

Panel Gaps:
It's better than earlier Cybertrucks, but not perfect. I can live with them.

I hate the one-pedal driving. But it's a thing some people like. It makes me motion-sick. I keep hoping for blended braking instead.

The minimalist interior is a preface of things to come in future Tesla's. It's not a coincidence that the controls are now as bare as necessary.

Once FSD is the norm all that's left to eliminate is the steering wheel, brake pedal and accelerator from the interior.

Like it or not FSD is coming our way.

It sounds like you did not think this purchase through... LOL.

Hindsight ... but you probably would have been better suited to visit a Tesla center to test drive a Model 3, S, or X before going straight for the stainless steel on-road/off-road spaceship with giant all terrain tires. :D

You will adjust to the feeling of driving an electric vehicle and a Tesla in no time, just takes a couple days of driving.
