Took my RV from storage for de-winterizing and a side trip to nearest state park.

These numbers put a cloud on our plans.

My Cybertruck use case is for our road trips, camping and bucket list of visiting all national parks.

RV Weight: 4,300 lbs (it's empty)

Temperature: 50F

Terrains: Mainly flat witj one 6% climb for half a mile

Distance: 44 miles, 11 miles not pulling a trailer

Average enerfy (usage): 925 Wh/mi

It pull like there's no trailer attached.

The trailer hitch appears to be too far inside that RV is in danger of hitting the CT in a very sharp turn. Millimeter when I was simply making a u-turn.

Now I wonder how it will perform in the brutal long climb in winter in Donner Pass at I-80.

Or the 9,900 feet Tioga Pass to Yosemite Village from Lee Vining.

And how the hell they reported that good Semi range from Bay Area to San Diego over the longer climb at the Grapevine?

Weight is pretty irrelevant, it's the frontal area and aerodynamics of the trailer acting as a parachute on your truck you're going to have to deal with.

The trailer hitch being close-set is good for some things, bad for others. You can change the arms of your trailer hitch to take advantage of the hitch, or use a ball extension - since you're not near the load limit - you can make it further, but you can't make it closer, so better to have a hitch that starts closer!

I might have to get an extender. I also can't mount my bike rack with that kind of close set up.

Needs to do some measurements to decide how long.

Close as you can is better aero - usually. As well as better for turning and control.

Maybe you should put the bikes and a deflector on the back two rack points? You might be able to get a small benefit from that.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It actually triggered the thought that I' will now have a space at the back to put the mount when I off load the generator I won't anymore need with the CT suppling the power.

What was your average speed during the trip? That has a huge impact on drag. I had lower numbers when pulling an Airstream with a speed around 65. If I dropped to 55-60 I anticipate even further improvement in numbers.

Yep, 0-60 in 4 seconds, it’s EV. If you are towing, its 5.8L or 6.2L minimum!

Example~

Hooked my 5x8 empty trailer to my F150 ⚡ and it went from 148sh miles down to 62 miles with trailer mode activated?!

Trailer mode uses an expectation from other users that have uploaded their data to Ford.

So if the average trailer was bigger than yours, it'll overestimate the load... Until you start driving around and the truck realizes the load behind it isn't so much of a drag.

Max 60 even below 65 speed limit.

What did you get with your Airstream which I concede is a lot more aerodynamic than mine.

I am really hoping some will come up CT clear spoiler dome for us pulling RVs.

I stopped wishing for Lance to come up with slide-in truck camper for it.

lol. It asked for dimension’s and weight for trailer. Guess won’t be hauling too much.
