I just got my FS invite. Going to make the decision tomorrow. It’s been sitting in my email since the 5th. Anyone know how long we get?
I got invited on 01/18 and didn’t configure until 03/15.

I got invited on 1/2 and it's still offering Foundation to me.

Some people in December reported only having a week, then a month, then it came back permanently for those who passed.

While now is a little different, since invites have slowed, in the past, how long you get hasn't been a big issue.
The issue is that the faster you order, the faster you get your truck.

But don't let that sway you, make up your mind, Do you want FSD? Do you want Powershare? If not, are you willing to pay $20k to get your truck earlier.

Good points.

I do want PowerShare. We were going to eventually do powerwalls and solar. I live in Florida so it would be nice to have the ability to charge the truck and use it as generator. I was going to do those things anyway. I think I’m going to do it. I have a work vehicle, I barely drive my personal car, but when I do I hate stopping at gas stations.

I ddn't watch the vid because i'm not a fan of whiney ranty youtube people, but..

I don't mind the Foundation series program. I don't mind the small hanful of these no name "celebrities" getting trucks quickly.

I DO however mind ordering a FS for "early access", and getting pushed back by accelerated delivery people, particularly because this program was wedged in after the fact.
I DO also mind Tesla prioritizing CA and TX folks this far into production. In the beginning, fine, but now, just go by order date Tesla, customers are waiting.
I would say yes to California receiving teslas quicker. But then look where we live. Green state. Infrastructure is built for tesla. Also we buy more than anywhere else and stay true to the brand. Finally. I am no one special waited 5yrs for my day and received Cyberbeast last Wednesday. So patience is key.

lol! Opinions are like *ssholes. Everyone has one… even you @HaulingAss ?. You definitely are in some of the top fanbois in this forum. You claim to be big into trucks but your posts show the opposite. Stating TFL isn’t honest journalism (I am guessing your way of saying they don’t know off-roading or trucks) shows even more your pontifications and speeches of BS. Just like how you don’t air down your tires when you off-road ?. Dude… get a grip.
I do air my tires down when off-road and I recommend others air down too. But only as much as needed to get the performance necessary for the type of trail I'm on.

In other words, you are telling lies again.

I also never said The Fast Lane doesn't have any expertise with trucks, only that they seem biased to sell GM products (while trying to appear fair and balanced). And I stand by that characterization of them. I'm no fan, so what?

When did you place your original reservation? I'm sure the earlier you got in the line, the more all these things impact you.

I personally die a little inside Everytime someone who placed their res after me gets their truck before me.

But a business gonna business
I figure I'm about 700k in line. I gave up and bought a Lightning last month, though I have no intention of canceling my reservation. Within a couple of days of buying the Lightning, I could have been a stock holder based line skipper. On the one hand, I'm glad I'd just purchased and didn't have to come up with an extra $30k to fight new model issues. On the other hand, I have serious buyers remorse with the Lightning, most of it software based. As such, Ford can fix it with updates, but I'm not hopeful as they basically had a 10 year cheat sheet by looking at what Tesla provides and still managed to create a garbage interface.

Don't forget to add your Ford Lightning to your profile.

Sorry about the buyers remorse but software is a primary reason why I couldn't go with a Tesla alternative. The Tesla software isn't perfect in all respects, but it's in a different league compared to legacy auto (and even Rivian).

New vehicle buyers often underestimate the importance of good software for a good user experience.
