Can I just get a “cyber screw” in mine and call it good? Or just take the damn thing off and I’ll bring it back when the new one comes.
That would make too much sense! This is Tesla we are talking about here.

It's amazing how many conspiracy theories are coming out of this.

This says steering column and reports of the issue are about accelerator. Might be 2 separate issues.

Took delivery yesterday in Brandon,MS. Dual motor. Was overall good experience. Initially had some issues with screens not coming on but tech was great and did hard reset. Everything worked. Few very minor fit and finish issues (Bumpy dash covering, few swirls on one panel, one exposed attachment for the headliner but otherwise really good. No significant panel alignment issues). Drove back to Louisiana (167 miles interstate) and got home with 41% left in the battery (better range than I was expecting).. steer by wire was weird for about 10 minutes then got the hang of it (still a little wonky at low/parking speeds but think it’s going to be an easy transition).
Bitch-bitch-bitch. You love it and we know it.

That guy is lying, there is no way for that pedal cover to jam the accelerator floored due to the spring tension on the pedal. Even when he tried to demonstrate what happened, it sprang back as soon as he removed his hand. He couldn't even replicate what he claimed had happened.

Just unreal.

I'm starting to think that social-media influencers are sometimes disingenuous ?

My truck is in service right now for a minor tonneau issue. I asked if there was anything new, and they said they are still on track to finish it today.

Please let us know when you get it back and they did not hold it for any surprise nonsense.

Schedule for pick up the 16th in Raleigh. CT is at SC already. App still shows scheduled for 16th. Texted SC but no response so far. (Crazy how hard it is to talk to a human). VIN in the 5800s
Don't bother texting. I have been able to speak with the service center at Raleigh about my CT by calling them directly at (919) 420-0280. Even if they don't answer right away, I leave a message and they call me back.

I have spoken to them 3x since my Sunday appt got cancelled. They were happy to explain the official reason as we all know know. There is nothing they can do about this delivery hold until the accelerator issue is resolved. This does not mean every truck has an issue. It just means they are holding them all until they are either cleared or repaired.

I do not believe there is any way the Raleigh service center will release new trucks until the hold is cleared. They were very clear about that point.

Yes, this is in fact the exact issue causing the hold. Service Centers are waiting to get instructions on how to repair before opening up deliveries again.
Keep us updated. Thank you
