I think the rivet is better than the original "friction fit" design. Some mechanical locking mechanism seems like a good idea.

I noticed that Tesla has delivered 3878 trucks so far. I had wondered about delivery numbers but hadn't seen anything besides the Excel sheet on this forum. Now we know it accounts for about 10 percent.

I took that as the intended number when he mentioned it was 20,000. If Tesla can sell 20,000 without dwindling sales, they will cut it off at 20K or increase it. If they see sales slowing for the FS, they will have to cut the number.

That makes sense too. But we also need to remember making sense doesn’t always fit what we see from Tesla. And I’m not talking crap. I’m all in on Tesla so it’s all just part of the journey.

Was the cybertruck that crashed into the Hollywood sign caused by a dislodged accelerator pedal? Happened on Mar. 3rd and Tesla was notified on Mar. 31 by a customer about the pedal issue.

Hence, the reason I keep getting a delayed delivery on my truck that was supposed to be delivered three weeks ago; good luck getting those recalls done as soon as possible; the tesla service centers in Miami are horrible with scheduling service, and it may take weeks to get the car in, and they don't even give you a loaner.

My VIN 6449 has been sitting in the delivery lot in Aurora for a week now. Trying to get an update on if I’ll receive the rivet or if I’ll have to wait for the retrofit. I’m happy they caught this of course but man, my loan check and all this just sitting 4 miles from where I sleep without my being able to have it is brutal as hell LOL

Exact same situation here. Visiting the service center this afternoon to see what they say now that the recall is official. Leaving town for the middle of next week and thinking I probably won’t take delivery until this time next week at the earliest.
