Thank you for your thoughts on the matter. I will say that the Nashville dealer responded to my inquiry in the Tesla app and told me the VINs are assigned at production. The message said they had no way of finding out when the VIN would be issued or where I stood in line. Maybe, based on your past relationships with that Tesla store you can find someone willing to call GigaTexas?? Haha!! I'm Dying Here!!Not at all my first model three was in 2019 it was a little rough and then I had to wait for about 30 minutes. I think they were still prepping the car but every other vehicle I go in get my paperwork hop in the car and I'm gone, my last model Y was in August 2023 for my wife. They just gave me the packet with all the paperwork in it had it right out front with a big red bow like I had requested as it was a surprise and drove off never even checking it out and looking it over and it's been giving us faithful service since then , this is definitely strange territory. I may have mentioned this earlier I have worked for a major automotive manufacturer and often times vehicles that have problems that can't be chased down when they're found A minor problem during final inspection. Those are moved to a special lot for repair and the repair department gets to them as it can most of the time this is not a sequenced event. The easy cars are fixed first but cars with engine problems or wiring harness that requires the entire interior be removed often times left for months before they are touched. I can remember seeing one being worked on in January that had a dirt Dobber nest made out of the Alabama red mud that everyone is familiar with. Meaning that that car been sitting for at least six months. We can only hope that ours is not one of those… There is one bright spot. Where it would be nice to be the very first one driving around with one. The first users are always guinea pigs so hopefully a lot of the shakedown bugs are worked out by the time we get ours, that will be our saving grace. Thanks to all those that went before us. May we get our trucks soon. Amen wait… I got into a small prayer there. However, if the great cyber truck in the sky is listening, we want our trucks please.
