I listened to the call. So many FUD things about TSLA rebuked. Can’t let the haters dominate narrative.

As for CT, hearing that 1,000 a week are being made gives me hope to see my truck soon here in Connecticut. 11279xxxx

PowerShare install on 5/3. Exactly $4k. And I’ve heard this helps speed things along. We’ll see
I already have one in Connnecticut
I’m in CT, haven’t been contacted by the electrician yet. Talked to the service center today and my truck is expected on a delivery May 2. Sooo close!

This is awesome! The contractor for Connecticut is Smart Electrical Solutions out of Fairfield.

Hope I'm not far behind you!

No worry, if reservation holders who are willing to buy the FS, then they are going to make them, as a business perspective. That is the way I see it. FS is all package-in. That why the price is. the basic CT most buyer are waiting for will come once all early reservation holder exhausted. Keep in mine the number 500k. Lets say 1/4 of half are willing to buy. That is 125k of orders to fill. Right now is 1k/week. The most CT production up to date is about 8k. That is my assumption. No hard feeling.

This website is turning into Reddit. A bunch of whiny babies complaining about what people should/shouldn’t buy with their money. Nobody’s gonna purposely pass up a Foundation Series just so somebody with less money can get theirs sooner. Either pony up the extra 20k, or shut up and wait another 2 yrs for the Non Foundations to start being produced.
2 years? Where did you get that stat?

Math. Based on reservation numbers being serviced, total estimated reservation numbers, vehicle production rate and estimated take rate.

I believe we are nearing 300k reservation numbers being serviced, 2 million reservations, 1k vehicles per week and 1-5% take rate for FS. Everyone will have their invites for FS in 1.66 years or so.

Your math may be off. Here’s how I’m calculating.

Let’s take the midpoint of your reservations take rates (2.5%; no one knows what non-FS will be but doubt much higher). For sake of argument, let’s assume 5%. That means for every 1k car produced, you will go through 20k reservations.

However, 1k is current production capacity. Let’s assumed the average production capacity going forward is 1.5k/week. That implies that there will be 30k reservations run through each week.

If we are at 300k now, and there are 2million reservations, that implies that in just over a year the list will be exhausted.

of course this is back of the envelope math but directionally correct I believe. Think it’ll be closer to one year than two years frankly.

They didn’t say they were at a production rate of 1000 a week. They said they produced 1000 in one week.

The market will sort out this messy rollout. If from this point forward Tesla produces 1000 or more trucks per week they will exhaust the FS buyer pool quickly.

The CT is no longer the shiny ultra new toy it was 6 months ago. The 100K price combined with the harsh anti Tesla press have taken the shine off.

From my point of view this is great news. Love the truck but I have always questioned its mass marketability at FS pricing. In the mean time the bugs are being worked out.

As far as FSD is concerned, 12K for that feature, once it is actually safe and operative is a bargain.
Oh I dunno. The FS I’ve been driving for the last 2 months still seems pretty shiny to me! ??

I'm kinda curious, what is this 'FS' acronym referring to?
I've been following along for a couple years, I understand FSD references.
WTF is 'FS'?

“Foundation Series” you pay 20k more for AWD and Cyberbeast versions, basically to get it a little early. It’s a limited version ?
