I had the Duratrac winter package put on last Saturday. Took 30 minutes at the Tesla service center, and they put my AT wheels and tires in the bed.

The Duratracs are louder on the road, with pronounced tire noise. They have less grip overall and a lot less lateral grip on the road. They are a chonky tread block tire and the very little I've driven off road with them.... they are much better.

No snow yet in Wisconsin, but I only expect the Duratracs to be a halfway better snow tire compared to the AT tires. The amount of siping is ok, but no where close to a dedicated snow. For normal commuting / driving / all-around tire package, the AT OEM tires are awesome. For more offroad biased driving, pick the Duratracs. If you need maximum snow performance, get a snow tire.
Not sure where you're at in Wisconsin, but I'm wondering if you got the same snow and ice that Western WI did and if so how the Duratracs worked out? For me, the AT tires definitely put the stability control to the test a few times. Which was really impressive and more responsive than anything I've ever driven. But at the sake of saving my CT some brain time, I'm gonna upgrade for the winter.

Yes, the Duratracs in combination with the “slippery conditions” toggle in the dynamics tab really make the truck stable and fun in the snow. Spouse approved, since she drove it in the snow while I’m traveling for work.

The Duratracs are better than I expected, much closer to a true winter tire than I expected. I still think a dedicated Nokia. Would be better.

Spouse approved. I'm sold.

Just installed Bridgestone Blizzaks . Have always favoured these in brutal winter conditions . Less traction than the OEM tire but ice is what I want better road handling with ... and they are super sticky ...

I have the Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 installed and they are really good in the snow. They are quite smooth on the dry pavement as well. They are 34" instead of the stock 35" but I can't really tell. Very happy with the setup.

The actual difference is only half an inch. Stock height is 34.58 compared to 34.08

Does that affect the odometer or is there a tire option for these in the settings?
It would read 65mph when you’re going 64.1. There are zero dedicated snow tires in the right size. There are no settings in the truck you can change, but it’s possible the wheel speed sensor picks it up seeing there’s a vehicle speed difference?

That's great to hear. We get ours installed Jan 2nd. What I'm very curious about is how much it affects range.

Are they quiet?

I got the Nokians non studded installed and drove through a snow storm in colorado to go skiing. Happy to report they are very comfortable and quiet and seemed to perform very well in the snow.

I wasn’t really pushing them to find their limit. I’ll do that some other time :)

Efficiency compared to stock is hard to know since I was driving up and down a mountain.

I'm running the Nokians. Great tire. Range is surprisingly good. I recently got 427Wh/mi (288 miles of range) on a mostly flat 99-mile drive in the Yukon. Temperature was around 5 degrees F. It was snowy/icy conditions so I kept the speed around 55mph.

The traction is excellent on snow/ice.

I had the exact same experience this last weekend on the Blizzaks driving to big White British Columbia from Washington state through small snowstorm, etc. excellent traction, ride quality similar, have not pushed dry pavement handling I trust, not as good, quietness is similar to stock, cannot speak to range

Same I am happy with the blizzak. Just as an aside I am interested to know if I use the stock wheel tire as a spare on if it will affect driving etc given the very small size difference .
