It’s snowing in New Orleans but FSD was handling snow well and cautiously, until I came to an intersection. FSD saw the pedestrian but decided to sharply veer towards him. FSD would have missed the left turn (radius in turning towards pedestrian too sharp left).

Human intervention stopped the collision, but this is the second time a pedestrian has been scared. The first time was driving into setting sun and neither I nor Cybertruck saw pedestrian dart out into a crosswalk. I braked in time but pedestrian had to dodge.

I love FSD and use nearly every drive but it doesn’t prioritize pedestrian safety IMO.

According to cybercricket it's your fault for using FSD outside of its design parameters.

It's also your fault for not taking over before it could turn into the pedestrian.

Better sell your truck before you get someone killed!!!!

What a stupid comment. I took over immediately that the CT started its turn towards pedestrian.

The point of my post is to advise there are limitations to FSD interactions with pedestrians.

What’s the pointt of your post?

As much as I’d love to participate in all that… I won’t.

You can only blame FSD so much when idiots decide to walk in front of a moving 6,900 pound steel tank driving on ice. In fact, unless it was about to run a red light, I don’t blame it all since both your scenarios sound like they were at intersections. But glad you were driving defensively and saved their lives.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It does appear that the car veered directly at the pedestrian, as you stated. It is one thing for FSD to not foresee a collision with a pedestrian, but it is entirely another to be targeting them.

I had another look at the video, and the truck never stops rolling (something FSD no longer does). Are we sure this is legit?

Yikes. For the future, in you want serious responses, it’s probably best not to create a misleading heading claiming FSD is essentially hunting to run down humans. ?

My Model Y moves slightly left as I overtake cyclists, even if the cyclist is in a "protected" bike lane, or a bike lane with clearly painted lines. Very safe!
