Cybertruck FSD almost hit the truck already in the traffic circle!

My FS turned left at 4 way stop. turn was way too close to oncoming truck so I hit the brakes and swerved. Not sure if we would have hit but glad I

Also my FS did not want to exit my driveway into the street I had to hit the gas to get it to move. Was stuck for a while w no traffic in either direction.

Cybertruck is struggling in traffic circles - both single and dual lanes. It keeps clipping the back tire on the curb - then freaks out a bit. No one beside me so no risk and I didn’t intervene. Model 3 isn’t having this issue. It’s also struggling on undefined spaces like my driveway where the model 3 is confident. It follows others at speed well, but drives too slow when it’s in its own. All my interventions have been in my driveway and one traffic circle. Other than those, it just works. Great start

First, I am happy to have this finally! This was my first attempt after the download at 7:30AM this morning! I was just getting out of the neighborhood at our traffic circle. The truck appears on the screen, so I am not sure why it didn’t stop! I waited as long as I felt comfortable which was a last second me slamming on the brakes. The other truck paused it was so close, he was unsure if was coming or not.



Not trying to hate, but damn that was a little close for comfort! Honestly, this seems rushed out just so they can say its out, at their robotaxi event…..

I wouldn’t say it’s rushed given that it says “supervised.” I could see a point being made if it hadn’t. I think it’s very clever of Tesla to have implemented the prompt to provide them with verbal feedback each time you disengage autopilot, as this will allow them to improve it more and more overtime. It’s up to us to provide that feedback.

I personally wouldn’t trust it around a random round-about, just as I don’t trust humans. ?

I had issues with a roundabout on my way to work. Didn‘t recognize what it was and was not going to make the turn. No cars to stop for. On the way home it did better and just hit a curb In the same roundabout. I sent the voice memo to tesla.

Yea FSD is like riding with my teenager driving. Speaking of which, this truck lacks an OH Shit Handle! lol!

Chuck Cook did a full FSD test with the bumper cam covered. It's not in use for FSD.

I don't trust my own driving in traffic circles! I love my dad, but I'll never use it in a traffic circle.

Expecting it to be perfect out the gate is wishful IMO. It’s supervised and will take time to become good. in the other cars it took a few years to get really good and even then I’d be taking over thinking it’s going to bump / rub something. Even still one shouldn’t trust it fully, especially with your life. For me after every update I pretend it’s my first time ever using it and pay close attention, disable it in construction zones etc. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

I ran it 420mi yesterday and it did about 95% of the job. I did have an issue approaching a round-a-bout with a silver car in the circle and the truck did not appear to be stopping so I hit the brakes and logged the intervention. Most the trip it did great.

agree it needs work for traffic circles, gates at HOA, breaking distance..

Mine ran a red light Friday night, I didn’t get footage of it. My wife was like we just ran a red light, I wasn’t paying attention. No cars were crossing or I would hope it would do something about that. Turning is super jerky and I have curb check a couple of times on simple right turns.
