Trust, but verify.....I went through 2 different traffic circles (with vehicles beside me and on-coming in the circles) and it handled it fine....but I was definitely watching things closely to make sure it didn't deviate. In some ways, using FSD is more stressful than manual driving, but we are teaching the system so patience and vigilance are required.
Yea, totally agree with more stressful than just driving on your own. I am like, is AI gonna kill me!?? lol

I was as I think everyone was invited to have it for a month on my model 3 a few months ago and I used it once. It just takes to long to take off drives the exact speed limit a few times was a little confused and I only used it 1 time so I’m pretty sure I’m to worried and don’t have the patience to even use it. I’m surprised so many do
i used FSD on M3 three month ago, it was ok , i used it again on MX loaner two weeks ago, i was impressed. now CT one is better than MX.

Yeah it was in my M3 when I tried it for the free trial , I got the update yesterday, I will def give it a try. For me living in Los Angeles and the crazy driving I’m also in and out of lanes and take off at lights so. I always hated the 3 car gap because it’s just constant another car will pull in front of me then my car drops back another car over and over ?

Anyone with past Tesla/FSD experience knows to remain vigilant on city streets in particular. Highway driving, lane changes etc. has never been a real issue outside of the earlier phantom braking crap!

My FSD ride home was city, no highway but I will check that out soon.

Rock (sign? ) I'm median doesn't help visibility either...
Agree, who decided to put a sign right at the intersection blocking everybody's view?

First, I am happy to have this finally! This was my first attempt after the download at 7:30AM this morning! I was just getting out of the neighborhood at our traffic circle. The truck appears on the screen, so I am not sure why it didn’t stop! I waited as long as I felt comfortable which was a last second me slamming on the brakes. The other truck paused it was so close, he was unsure if was coming or not.

Not trying to hate, but damn that was a little close for comfort! Honestly, this seems rushed out just so they can say its out, at their robotaxi event…..
Let me know what you think!

Thank you for sharing. It's good to know what situations we need to be supervising extra carefully while FSD continues learning. My download just finished and will be trying it for the first time shortly.

I agree, but you can see on the screen FSD sees the truck before the sign and after it…
I've been through 4 roundabouts since getting FSD in the Cybertruck and it has impressed with how it doesn't need to slow down when the driver coming around the circle is exiting right before your entrance.

It looks to me like FSD will assume the approaching vehicle is exiting right up until it would be too late to stop if the vehicle were not exiting. And the rock pedestal prevented FSD from the clues necessary to determine which exit the other truck intended to take.

It was dumb to put a rock pedestal there.

Yeah had a bad intervention today too that I couldn't even prevent from making a bad decision.

I was waiting to make a left turn at a light. Light turned green and was supposed to yield for a left turn. There was a Model Y on the other side going straight towards me that it should have yielded for, but my CT just went left first anyway. I couldn't react in time once the CT turned already, so I just intervened/accelerated fast to get out of the intersection.

Very weird, not even a complicated scenario. Common yielding left turn, very dangerous.

Good job reporting it, they are reviewing EVERY report and have data from the vehicle's cameras, the FSD input, and our intervention so they can make changes at next update.

You can see where the visualization drops the truck out because it's behind the sign/wall.

That's a huge logic issue in the AI for a vehicle to "disappear" because it can't see it anymore.

I trust it while I'm in traffic, going with the flow. But definitely not while I'm entering traffic.
It almost got me yesterday while I was crossing an Intersection. It did not accelerate fast enough as it went across the road through oncoming traffic. It's definitely a driving aid and not a substitute.
