It seems to me there will be a massive recall to work out the headlight issue of the cyber truck.
I say this because in places like New England it's not unusual to be stuck in extreme winter snow storms with many hours of driving one may still have left.
A State like Maine for example has vehicle inspections by law and one of the things that has to work are headlights and running lights.
The reasons for this are quite obvious one must be able to see!
More over be seen as in tail lights and all factory running lights working to help aid in being visible to other vehicles in white out conditions.
The recessed nature of the headlights of the cyber truck allow them to get packed up with snow quite quickly and one loses all use of their headlights.
For this reason I believe there will be a forced recall of these truck for this to be reworked.
When that Time comes (Here's the long shot) I urge Tesla to reach out to me.
I have a very viable, easy, cheap solution that will save many millions for Tesla and fix the issue simply when this recall happens.
I know what you need to do to modify the trucks In a simple efficient and effective way.
I hope someone from Tesla is monitoring these threads and reads this post as I can think of no other way to contact Tesla to get this idea to them.
Note I have documented the and had the very idea of the design notarized for proof of its originality.
I look forward to Tesla taking a very dangerous issue with their trucks seriously and taking pre-emptive steps to rectify such a dangerous thing as zero night visibility from poor headlight design.
Tesla be proactive and fix this issue.

Notarizing a design means nothing in regards to originality. Notarizing it does nothing to protect the potential intellectual property. U.S. patent law was changed under President Obama from a first-to-invent to a first-to-file regime. If you are filing for a patent there are two types: design and utility. You need to file with the USPTO to find out if your idea is “novel” and “non-obvious.” Good luck!

No recall happening- if you have a solution then figure out a way to retail it directly. There are plenty of us looking for easy solution and willing to pay for it.
I have considered that.
Making the solution and marketing it directly.
It is indeed an easy fix and would literally cost Tesla Pennies per truck without exaggeration to fix it.
I'm just seeing if they want the idea and this is the avenue I started with.
If I get no response perhaps I will make and market it myself.
Again to be clear the Tesla trucks are in direct violation of state inspection laws that require for obvious reasons reliable functional headlights.
They are not functional in a snow storm.
I have had a few laughing emjos on this topic from people who live in places like AZ but they would have zero clue about driving in whiteout conditions in the winters of the northern Part of the US or anywhere in the world for that matter.
They won't volunteer a recall
In my opinion they will be forced to do one as again the truck as it is sold right now violates state laws of inspection f the states that have inspections lights are the one common thread through them all.

I would think at pennies per Truck Tesla would do the recall on their own.
I can see it if it was EEYYUGE money per truck but this is and would be a very cheap solution to the issue.

Has that been challenged in a court?
Do you have the case?

I live in Detroit area, I chose not to drive for hours in the snow with my $136K CT. I worked too hard for my money to risk it in the snow. And even if it had great headlight design, I stay off snowy roads because I can't guarantee I won't be hit by a $500 "beater" car with bald tires and can't stop and slams into me.

This is a "non-issue" for me....

Hey man! Grew up driving in the mountains experiencing all the weathers, but ya I live in AZ. I miss that weather… sometimes! My first job was putting tire chains on all sorts of vehicles in snow storms. Brrrrr!

Anyway, the laugh emoji is for your tone and approach of the issue. And your reluctance to share your idea with fellow forum members. If your goal is to monetize the idea then you should proceed independently. Right now you sound like another internet crazy.

I hope your idea is as good as it sounds, it would silence half the complaints on the forum! Best of luck!

So your advocating for your own business.
I've invented many machines and machining processes for industry in Maine.
Ive did R&D machine research for a decade.
im failry used to the process.
still I wouldnt put it past the government to try and make it so you have to pay the 1000s through the US patent office.
still seems it wouldnt stand up in the long run in court.
just because something becomes law in no way means it wont get shot down as you should know if you're a lawyer.
i was just curious if any had fought the new over reaching law
by the way
Thanks for the good luck.
I'm sure it will go no where.

Why would I share an Idea I'm trying to sell?
I'm not trying to convey a "tone"
Just reality.
I've posted Essentially a straight forward post more directed at Tesla.
If I've rubbed someone the wrong way it was not my intention at all.
