Hey guys,
I live in the Arabian Gulf and I saw a cybertruck the other day and I definitely want to buy one. I'll be buying it in cash. I have few questions as I've never owned a tesla before.

1) I went on Tesla website and it seems I need to put in an order there, how long would it take for the car to be ready?

2) this is where I feel my question might be stupid, we have EV stations where I live, are all those universal world wide? I guess I'm just projecting the situation we have with electrical plugs, is it the same for EVs? Do I need to buy some kind of convertor?

thanks
Real question is WHERE in the Arabian Gulf. You can’t be the first Cybertruck owner in Dubai or Riyadh? If you’re just cruisin’ them bling streets then you’ll figure out charging, along with the Porsche and Mercedes EV owners.

The only question you should be asking yourself is “AWD or Beast?” and “Beast” is the correct answer.

Those are not stupid questions. There is a wealth of knowledge here though. As for ordering it all depends on what you order and what is in inventory. If it's in inventory you can drive away same day. EVERYTHING is handled through the app. The buying experience is far different than most other places. If the vehicle is not in inventory then it can take a month or two.

In the case of the adapter, as long as you have CCS or J1772 then you are fine. I am putting a video below detailing a working adapter.

A NOTE about the US 220VAC 48 amp Tesla Charger: On my first home install the electrical [friend] put it on a 40amp breaker - this throttled it back about %25 ...

I had him come back and put it on a 60amp breaker [I guess there are no 50amp breakers]

That allowed the charger to go to its full 48 amps - which provides good charging rate/ best you can get at a home charger.
A circuit should only pull a constant 80% of the breaker amperage. Chargers are like space heaters, and pull a constant current, which is why they required a larger breaker than their rating.

For clarity, you can pull 80% of the rated current of the circuit, not just the breaker.

Of course, a correctly-installed circuit will have the wiring and breaker match. If you merely swap the breaker, the lower-amp wiring now becomes a fuse.

That is true!

So many pitfalls.
