If I look at my screen more than 1-2s I get a warning. No chime, nothing but the single line message. On the 2nd+ warning, I get the blue flashing. If I don’t violently shake the wheel I get a strike. I had 3 strikes the first day of ownership, and was in jail on day 3. I read online where people comment that I must not be paying attention, and that they have never gotten a strike, or can even imagine how poorly I am paying attention.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos of FSD drivers and they mess with their router for 10-15s with NO warning. WTF??

Suggestions?
So funny, “Supervised” take on whole new meaning.

Paying thousands of dollars to watch a vehicle, watch you, failing to watch the vehicle, as the vehicle watches the road!

???‍??

Still don’t know how if it’s watching you how it supposed to be watching the road guess it is allowed to do two things at once, although you are not!

Add me to the list of people who feel like the machine flips out way to early. I am bear sighted, so it takes my eyes a little bit to adjust from looking forward to looking at the screen. I have gotten better at being faster, but when I first got the FSD I had several dings in the first few hours.
Are you looking at the screen to quick check speed or something else? Or are you looking at the screen and touching it to make config changes?

Have never gotten a strike, not even sure how they happen.

That said, I have seen the warning which makes using Spotify or doing anything in the nav challenging. I prefer the approach on the Model S/X UI where you can drag the music panel to the driver's side vs. the rigid UI approach driven by the single screen. The problem with the one-screen, no configurability, approach is that many controls are out of sight/reach for the driver.

Tesla should really move the nav/music to the left (Driver's side in the US) of the screen instead of the useless FSD visualization. Put the visualization on the right, out of the way.
The media controls are already available on the far left, bottom of the screen.

Those aren't the full controls, just the same ones that are available via the left squircle wheel button. In S/X you can click on that tile and it expands full height on either side of the screen where the tile is anchored. So if you're in Spotify clicking the tile brings up the songs in the playlist you're in. You can still expand one more level to get the larger version which you find on Cybertruck. So it's three levels in S/X and only two in Cybertruck. I want the one in the middle :)

Ah, I gotcha. It may actually be a configuration within the app itself rather than something unique to the CT. Maybe they don't have a window config for the size of the CT screen (yet).

I suspect we will see drastic improvements for stuff like this once Tesla stops dragging their feet on the app store.

Methinks its the problem of one screen in Cybertruck/3/Y vs two in he S/X. Tesla probably doesn't want to (or is barred from) obstructing the speedo and key info on turn signals, warning "lamps" etc. so full-height on the driver's side isn't feasible. I wouldn't mind a small dash display if only to unlock more UI flexibility on the large screen, but it's never going to happen unfortunately.

Then again, I would have said the Y refresh would never have a turn signal stalk and - there it is! So I guess never say never.

I have actually gotten strikes before reading the warnings that I was about to get the strikes. In any other car I can change the radio station. Lets say I want to switch from Hurry mode to Chill because of traffic conditions. I know now to stop FSD and make the change. As I was learning to use the interface I received several strikes for looking at rear view mirror or turn signal cameras. I do think I have adapted to the car, but I feel like the overall system is too sensitive.

You can configure the left scroll wheel to change drive modes.

I recently got a FS Beast and have found the FSD to be very annoying to actually use. I got two strikes in my first day and 1 since, but it is kind of a pain. But I figre it will be a game changer when unsupervised if that ever happens.

I also have a leased EV9-GT Line company car, and Kia's lane keeping driving assist seems much more usable in real world driving.

I didn't know you could just cover the interior camera, so then it just bugs you every so often to tug the wheel? The EV-9 does that every 30-60 seconds and it is very easy.

I will try that...

I have noticed that if I pay attention to the road for the first minute or so then the rest of the trip is very doable. I can look at the radio look outside for 10-15 seconds. But you gotta watch the road first for the first minute to 1 ½.

One thing I felt wrong with FSD is when running on a long curved ramp, even though I look straight up to the front, it'd still throw a warning, by shifting the rear camera window to the right side and flashing blue. I believe that's a bug.
