Good Info for others, but no need to try and lawyer this one for me. I taught other professional DoD gun-fighters the the applications of Deadly Force and Use of Force Continuum for several years. ?

Your assessment is categorically wrong; if you are a civilian in the United States and someone is threatening you will serious bodily harm, the onus is on the person feeling threatened to make sound judgement whether or not they feel the need to defend themselves against a threat.
Well, there is the issue with the terminology. "Sound judgement" is factually supported. Feelings on the other hand are subjective, and highly suspect.

The average man can beat your brains in with only his fists. You absolutely DO NOT have to wait until your are choking on your own blood and fading to black before you brandish or deploy self defense measures. In most cases, however, de-escalation is a first resort and is heavily pushed as the preferred method of resolution.

context: I taught other professionals in the DoD for years on this subject.
There is no doubt that the fists alone can lead to terrible outcomes on the receiving end. I was merely pointing out that if you have a dead body without a weapon and not a single bruise on your face, no witnesses and no video, you will have a hard time in court. Better than carried by six I guess ?

Dude that that’s so awesome! Which one do you have and which do you recommend?

I have one of these guys pre-ordered!

The Talaria MX5 is the sweet spot right now for price/performance if you are just getting into the sport and learning. I have 300+ miles on mine so far with about 75% of that on urban greenways (paved and improved). They are so quiet and stealthy that I can ride mine through the middle of University campuses and the police don't care at all since it's technically not a legally defined motor vehicle. If it had an engine and made the "yiiiin yiiiiiiiiiin!" noise, then we would get stopped and ticketed immediately haha.

If you have riding experience and want the real deal, then go with the Stark Varg.

You're confusing firearms carry laws and related peculiarities with the actual use of force. The two baseline principles that are identical across the nation are the proportionality and immanency. In simple terms you're only allowed to use the level of force necessary to deal with the particular threat, and only if you're facing the threat right this moment.

I also already called out the duty to retreat, which is somewhat tangential.
I knew by the terminology that you chose in this post that there was something up here! This analysis is a bit too crisp to have come from somebody that didn’t have a little bit more experience than your average bear. ?

I see you!

I think you think that line would work as a "gotcha", but it doesn't lmao.

A ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Admiral had to sign off on my paperwork for training, if that helps ?

I don't care how good you are at weapons manipulation and tactics. You may very well be great at it. The topic was the use of force on US soil, where none of the Rambo stuff is relevant.

Generally this isn't going to work in an online argument because you can't actually prove your posts match any particular person elsewhere - even if the accounts match, it could just be someone taking false valor, as it were.

Not that I disagree with your rather straight forward points in this conversation, just explaining why this line of evidence isn't going to help you with angry man on the internet.
