I already requested a service center appointment, but has anybody have seen this?

This started a few days ago.

My charge port is blinking AMBER, and, according to the manual, that means that the Cybertruck is charging at a reduced rate.

HOWEVER, inside of the truck (and on the app) it says I'm charging at 240v and 39a (well I mean it goes from 238v to 242v, but like, that's normal at my house).

Has anybody experienced this? If so, have you done anything yourself to resolve it?

I did get some electrical contact cleaner and some small pipe cleaning brushes to try to clean the charge port and the charger. That didn't make any difference.

NOTE - I have two chargers at home and this same behavior happens with each wall charger.
NOTE 2 - I also have a model y, and, this doesn't happen at all with either charger.

Let us know what SC says. I had an issue with an older charger which made the CT charge port blink red. Found out the charger handle prong connectors had some corrosion. It worked fine on my M3. Switched to the new one which came with the truck and no problems.

The port colors may be messed up.

Did you guys catch this part? Check to see if your house is under an increased load and inducing arch flashes and other noise. It's winter, so you could be running more electrically dirty appliances than other seasons.

Thanks for this. I did not read that, however, the amps of my charging session still say 48a! Both in the app and the truck so I’m not sure if this applies to my case?

Anyhow thanks for calling this out. I didn’t know that.

yeah, I created a post about this a few days. Very random colors on the charge port. I have a visit to the SC for another issue and they will look at it there. Seems like Tesla is aware of the issue and the SC said other people have had the same comment.

I'm 100% completely guessing, but might be related to a recent software update. Nothing to confirm that concretely, but timing wise, seems mine occurred pretty quickly post update.

After my last update this stopped happening on my truck so I suspect it's software related with the trucks. Since my charge levels were correct I waited for an update to see if that fixed it, and it did.

Mine started acting normal yesterday and it’s been fine since (no update though).

And even tonight, I tried PowerShare (I have a Gateway and a Universal Wall Charger) and it worked as expected. The light near the charge point turned purple as it should etc.

I’m not sure what’s going on or why it’s normal again but I’ll take it.

I still have a service appointment tomorrow so I’ll ask them but they’ll probably say, “We investigated and it’s within spec.”

Anyhow I’ll update this thread with what they say.

Thanks for the post. My CT started doing this same behavior yesterday.
I tested it today at a local SuperCharger also, in town, and same thing, blinking amber.

FYI, my service center that they couldn’t find anything wrong. It’s working fine now. The problem went away on its own after about little over a week. But I still kept my appointment just in case.

Ok, good to know. Maybe the same will happen for me.
David, do you have powershare active? Just curious.

I do have PowerShare! I had the V3 Gateway installed along with the universal wall charger so I can backup my house.

tbh this was a huge appeal to me to make the purchase.
