Before anyone tells me all about Turo: I ran a Turo account with 35 cars for 3 years, I know what I am getting myself into!

Here are my few questions for you wonderful people though:

-Is there a way to disable FSD when guests are driving? I know about Valet mode, but I've seen that it also decreases max speed and acceleration rate. Is there a way to ONLY turn of FSD and lock it so that a guest cannot turn it back on?

-I won't have a charging station installed in my house for a while. How many miles/hour does a standard outlet charge the Cybertruck? I am well aware that I'll have to utilize superchargers as well, but how much will I be able to get out of only charging with standard outlet charge?

-Have any of you guys put your Cybertruck on Turo? Any tips or important things to keep in mind?

You'll get about 3mi per hour from a regular 15A 120V outlet. You better find a 240V outlet in the house to plug into, or it will be challenging.

You need to study @ezebroni on X for Cybertruck (and other Tesla) Turo info. Have a stiff drink (or the whole bottle) ready as you scroll his timeline.

Just did, nothing I haven't seen before. Like I said, 35 cars on Turo for 3 years. I've seen it all!

Great to know. So essentially, if its plugged into a standard outlet for 15 hours, I'd get 45 miles? So If I average 45 miles a day on daily driving, I could get by for a good while without dipping into supercharging.

So you have seen the likes of the Cybertruck fire in Las Vegas? Total loss? Make sure to get the highest insurance available.

Probably. Wouldn't it be worth your while to set up a 240V circuit though? Then you could at least get 20 miles/hr. It is hard to imagine someone renting a Cybertruck and only driving 45 miles but you know better than anyone what the average is since you have done this a lot already.

Yes absolutely it would be worth it, but our dryer is in the back of the house (rental currently, hopefully buying one soon) so it may be an inconvenience. I've looked into getting an extension cord and splitter for that outlet though!

Sadly yes, I have indeed seen total losses. Blowing up a car in vegas isnt the only way to total a Turo rental! I'll definitely be looking at getting great insurance.

Even better if you can plug into the Range outlet. Most houses built in the last 30 years will have a Range circuit even if they use natural gas for cooking.

It seems most of the misbehavior in Turos is also accompanied by imposter drivers and cannabis. Has that been your experience? Turo stories are fascinating to me.

Absolutely. I was lucky enough to have a very high percentage of trips that were smooth sailing, but when the car came back with weed smell, it a lot of the time also came back with damage. I'd be vetting who I rent the truck out to VERY heavily.
