In all seriousness, maybe you could expand on your question a bit? Are you talking about having a literal "baby monitor" as used in the home, but in the vehicle?

I didn't even know that was a thing, lol

yes, it's quite common in vehicles, shouldn't need much explanation.

For keeping an eye on rear facing babies while driving, I used a mirror that straps onto the head rest of the seat they’re in.

if you’re asking about an actual video feed kind of baby monitor, any standard non-WiFi monitor off of Amazon should work.

It is? I hope you don’t mean while you aren’t in the vehicle. It’s the first I heard of it. In fact leaving a baby in the back of your car unattended generally leads to calls to cops. I would be careful about that.

That aside… if that is what you meant, put it in dog mode and watch your camera from your app. Instant baby monitor and with video.

I use the rear view mirror. It's useless otherwise with the tonneau cover up.

I’m not sure what everyone else prefers but my wife and I are big fans of our tiny traveler systems. We have the same setup in both the Cybertruck and our model x.
We use two cameras split screened but it works awesome for single camera also.
For us, one is to see the two older kids in the forward facing car seats mounted to the roof glass/windshield and one forward facing to see our tiny one in the rear facing seat. We have that one suction cupped to the little window into the vault and facing the front of the car. I’m attaching a couple of quick snapshots but it’s kind of dark out so hard to see.
The connection between cameras and monitor is wireless and totally idiot-proof which is handy for in-laws, visitors etc. You just turn them on and they somehow find each other. No menus, button presses etc. you can also put a memory card in them and just hit record on the touchscreen if your child is doing something cute you want to capture.
The monitor has a built in battery and you can add an optional battery to the camera as well. This is nice because they are easily removable from the mounts which means you can take them with you to hotel rooms, friends houses, grandmas house etc. and use it as a mobile monitoring solution up to about 100 yards or so as the crow flies. Nice to have if your child is napping nearby. Has audio also. It doesn’t seem to mind walls. Even comes with a nice little travel case.
If this is more than you want to do or lug around or if you never intend to take it out of the car, another slick approach is to get a rearview mirror like the hanshow or s92 Tes-studio version and then use what they intend as the forward camera to view your child in split screen on the mirror. You can mount it to the gear selector/camera housing thing in the middle of the windshield pointing at the back seat or to a headrest/back window for a rear facing child.
can’t do both like with the Tiny traveler though unless you’re willing to give up the rear camera which is kind of the point of the device.

This is obviously much more cost effective and a simpler more elegant solution. Making use of the little vestidual mirror makes sense, it’s just that in our case we wanted a digital rearview mirror in the traditional position as well.
