Just wondering how many times people are getting flipped off or shouted at a day. I do my best to ignore it but I get enough that it’s frustrating.worried about what my experience will be like when I leave my truck in public spaces… or if I’ll get shit when I’m out with my kids luckily they don’t see it or haven’t yet.
I get about 4-6 birds a day. I’m not a robot so it does bother me. A few days ago I was in a left turn lane with my son and hear someone’s horn blaring from my rear right. I look over and he has both fingers out keeping pace with me. I pulled out of the lane and cut him off and got out and told him to step out and tell me to my face. He didn’t, of course. Even though it felt good to let off some steam I realized it was pointless. Now I do my best to ignore the negative bots. Occasionally I’ll get a “Shaka” gesture from other Tesla drivers and that sort of balances it out. I’m getting a bumper sticker of an American flag that says “ You don’t know me or who I voted for…so shove that finger up your ass” Probably too confrontational but I don’t think there are any great answers at this point. People are hysterical right now and in a mob mentality and there’s no reasoning with a mob.

Best thing you can do is just ignore them that will bother them the most.

It’s terrible, I have a few stickers that have helped but still get confronted… it also depends on where you live. I was gonna get a sticker that says “ Anger’s wasted here—call your rep instead.” Or “Flip Congress, not me. Call your representatives.”

Nah... what really bothers them is when you flip them back off and smile. That drives them insane. Don't ask me how I know this.

It’s just jealousy from losers. Get your windows tinted and don’t engage.
I currently have a model y loaner in white and I’m kind of enjoying some anonymity for a bit. It’s so wimpy no one can be upset at it.
I didn’t plan on cybertruck and stock ownership being on the level of "We pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor." but thanks to Elon here we are ?

I have said "Congratulations on your OPINION". It silenced them for a hot second, like brain freeze. Then they started spouting about Darth Vader's wife or something. Guy was a senior citizen. I kind of thought maybe dementia symptoms. I was in the process of getting in the truck and leaving from a business parking lot.

How did you handle it?

Do you really think there is something in that moment or encounter that will make them hear reason? I don't. They are already triggered and flushed with adrenaline. These are people with poor impulse control and/or inflated self importance. Both can be symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. There are a lot of BPD people among us.

I have made a plan to not engage and be stoic and go on with my day. Humans are a bit to unpredictable lately for confrontations.

I gave a ride to an 81 year yesterday. He had a fun ride. Kept talking about how his grandkids will be driving stuff like the CT. I reminded him that all the Tesla vehicles are an amazing choice for older drivers who are afraid to drive at night (FSD), or have a hard time pumping fuel (home charging, have disabilities (auto open frunk, vault, hatch and doors), very little maintenance involved, and will improve with abilities with each OTA update. He just sat there with his mind blown. I asked him to please consider looking at a Tesla vehicle for his own use.

Most get their news from MSM and are clouded in judgement and can’t see common sense or truth (even if the truth is gray - they see black or white and no room for nuisance) no different than during the COVID years.
I don’t engage usually because they are just looking for more of a reason to hate. When it comes to the truck, I take the Ted Lasso approach - “be curious not judgmental”. Most people are just angry at the world and aren’t curious about me or the actual reasons I bought the truck. If that is how they want to go about life, sucks for them. I just respond to them with kindness (responding opposite what they want or expect) to “heap burning coals on their head” as a famous piece of writing says.

Had some kind of crap spread over my tonneau cover yesterday, Sentry didn't make a video probably they didn't come close enough to the vehicle. Being a bigger person probably prevents open displays of hostility, so the roaches resort to sneak attacks.
