I’m hoping my service center sends me a message early like last time. I was scheduled to pickup on the 14th, but the Monday prior they said I could take delivery I held off due to work. Glad I did or else I’d be part of the large recall. I’m really feeing glad we all took delivery around this time to not get caught up in this recall. I feel lucky and what’s another week of waiting.

but hopefully get a text saying it’s ready early ????

Ohh that makes sense. I have been dreaming about that happening to me lol. That would be so exciting! I can't wait to look back at these messages in the new truck

Cyberbeast foundation at my local Tesla dealer. Is it worth changing my all wheel drive 2025 for the cyberbeast? My delivery date is 3/29.

Hey all, new member here with a custom '25 AWD build (white décor) that just arrived in Santa Rosa yesterday.

I'm wondering about the community's thoughts on the cantrail fix—I haven't received delivery and have an option to postpone.

Thoughts on whether it would be optimal to wait for delivery until Tesla develops a new production process to integrate the part into the frame for better safety and aesthetics?

Wondering whether this might affect the vehicle's value down the road: pre-recall welded models vs. post-recall integrated ones? Appreciate any insights!

I'd anticipate a production line improvement to look cleaner than a service tech welding a bolt (current fix).

Context:
I got a call yesterday saying delivery is on hold due to the cantrail repair—no mention it would be a production-wide recall, which we all learned today.

They hope to have an update by Friday (tomorrow), but there's no guarantee I'll hear back. I'm not in a rush, though I'm starting an extended travel plan on Sunday for the next few months, and I'd like to get the truck soon, if possible, to enjoy on my cross-country trip through S. Cal to AZ, N. Mex, Colorado, then through the Midwest and over to the East Coast.

Seems the sales advisor was prompted to call me ahead of the recall news, as I've been disappointed about a missed $1k referral credit that didn't go through due to 'a processing error.' They've yet to resolve it but offered a $200 store credit, which feels light on principle relative to the order value. I've been considering postponing my order if they can't make it right, especially with the recall and everything else going on, atm.

I've been battling this same decision, but the few times I've discussed it with the showroom advisors/manager, they vehemently discouraged me from doing it, saying it's not worth the extra $20k.

Seems that's not the consensus among CB owners. An interesting comment on the same question on a FB CT owners forum responded that CB owners never look to downgrade to the AWD, yet, AWD owners often upgrade to the CB.

Interested to hear what choice you make.

Your vehicle will have the new parts installed before delivery. I wouldn't expect another revision anytime soon.

Beast is hella fast and fun. I also like the dual rear motor setup.

That said, Beast vs AWD
Beast is normally front wheel drive, versus rear (most of my cars have been FWD, so I don't have an opinion on which is better)
Beast has lower maximum payload (but an All Terrain Beast is better than an All Season AWD)
Beast range is a little less
Beast costs more

Foundation Beast vs standard AWD:
Older Build (ours is from May and we've had no major issues)
Free Supercharging
Free FSD
Tire upgrade (if you get All Terrains)
Interior upgrade (if you get White)
Powershare Mobile Charger
Premium Connectivity
$5k-$6k discount
Note: the inventory Beasts do not call out Powershare Equipment nor Light Bar

When we chose Beast, it also came with $2,500 in Powershare equipment and $4k in installation credit. That, plus lightbar made the Beast Foundation upcharge more palatable than AWD which only had the $2.5k in Powershare Equipment.
Still, free supercharging is very tempting, but is only for that vehicle while you own it. So no resale value (unlike FSD).

What are you going to use it for, and what is your AWD configuration?

Great information! I’m going to use it as my everyday commute. I now commute in a model Y. I drive about 100 miles daily. Would be using it for that and the occasional Costco and Lowe’s run.

I opted for the white trim with the cyber wheels and off-road tire package. I am really considering it. My wife owns a plaid and only thing that is holding me back from trading to the CB is that we have never used the full power of the plaid. Nice to know it’s there if you need is what I keep telling myself

The plaid (S or X?) is never floored to pass vehicles or merge on the highway?

100 mile daily commute sounds more AWD + FSD territory. Cyber, white, FSD, non-Powershare Mobile Connector is $96k (+$100/yr for premium data). You can also do a lease and buyout to cut the cost a little.

Beast from inventory is $114k and includes free Supercharging. That's an $18k bump for a $20k option. So if you want Beast in that configuration, Foundation is the way to go.

If Cybertruck is going to be your road tripping car (range will be worse than the Plaid), Supercharging can come in handy, plus Beast is fun when you feel like driving manually. We haven't driven AWD to see the difference though.
